So, I got a masterclass in making an open-mouthed tiger. The artist is from Russia, and suggests "Crystal Moment" as basically fabric glue? But it does more, and I understand why she likes it: it won't leave residue on glass but glues leather to glass and glues fur to leather and itself. It's been quite the revelation to use leather on glass eyes (I'm a newbie,)
I had to order my Crystal Moment from Latvia. I'm hoping I could find an equivalent. Is it just fabric glue and I'm just too new to know better? Will Fabri-Tack behave the same way? Fabri-Tack seems more clotted than this stuff. I like the glue but I sure would rather not have to order from Russia every time.
I'm excited to show you guys what I've been working on!
I really like this forum, and I find myself visiting it again and again. So I thought I'd join.
I love plushes, and I've been trying to improve my sewing for the last couple of years. I have a hard time finishing things because they don't turn out how I hope. It's really easy to get a terrible and wonky looking animal. XD
I really like Kaypea Creations on Youtube, and various art dolls, but I don't like the combo of plastic/clay with the fur. I prefer needle felting, but I'm not very good at it. I lean more towards realistic, but I have a soft spot for people who do really stylized work.
I'm here to learn and maybe do really good animals some day. I love werewolves, horses, dogs, and odd wild animals like quaggas and maned wolves.
