Love it, love it. It is just to adorable.
Lavender my favorite color and it really made up in a little cutie.
She is adorable.
She is a beauty Jenny.
He has such a sweet look on his face. Great bear.
What a cutie. Love her.
I have been making bears for over 30 years and use the plastic joints because I make bears that are child safe. They can be loose or tight and they never have come apart. Because my hands are not what they use to be I have a system I use for putting them on to make them tight. I put the pieces in the bear and then snap them together loosely and then with a socket from my husbands toolbox, I set the socket on a hard surface and put the joint on top of it and I can push the whole joint together with arm strength. I don't know if I explained this well enough to understand, but I hope so.
Thanks Janice. Yea, cool weather coming, they even have us for possible rain tomorrow.
Cute little guy and great colors.
Amazing kitty. Just sooooo beautiful.
This hot this time of the year is for the birds, Alison. Now today it is still hot and we have the wind too. I am really ready for some good fall weather. I hope this coming weekend will be good because I have a craft show in the local community park.
I haven't posted a bear in a while so thought maybe you would like to see the one I finished today. She is 14 inches tall, made of two colors of soft faux fur, is five way jointed and has child safe locking eyes and nose. She has such a sweet face that she is going to be hard to part with. She is available on my website.
Love that color and I don't think it is too early.
Because I make child safe bear, my eyes and nose are put on the head first then stuffed; a joint hand sewn in the head bottom and then attached to the body. The plastic locking joints I use for the legs and arms are then attached to the body before stuffing. I found that if I don't do this before stuffing the joints don't get tight. Then all the stuffing is done and seams hand sewn last. I know a lot of places sell the bear parts but I think several of us use CR's Crafts for our supplies.
Edwin is a real sweetie.
Another idea might be to add a dowel down the center of the leg. Never tried it but maybe.....
Great little guys.
What a fun little guy. I love working with the longer furs because they come out looking so different. Great job
She s adorable!!!
I am with the rest, call the doctor. You may be allergic to the shot. My daughter has had this problem since she was a baby and has to ask about any type of shot she gets. Knock on wood, but neither I or my hubby has had the flu or a cold in over 15 years.
Grat looking puppy, I see why he won first place.
Beautiful bear. I just love all your bears.
This was fun. I did manage to get a couple strikes but the highest score I could get was 116.
I am with Joanne, a true artist bear should be left alone but to take a manufactured bear and make it better would be lots of fun and think of the possibilities. I sometimes will go to the thrift shops and buy manufactured bears to try new techniques on. It sure saves me time and money to try it on an old bear than to design and make a bear which could end up in the garbage. So if everything turns out well on one of these bears then why not call them reborn and sell them. I think though that it should be stated how these bears started out and not called artist bears.
Wonderful job. How big is he?
