I wish I could see him.  Your bears are so awesome.

wubbiebear

So if he's a realistic bear, he's probably not going to be very cuddly, right?

wubbiebear

How cuddly was the bear that you stuffed with it?  Personally I just like good ol' fiverfil and I stuff my bears so that you have no choice but to give them a squuz.  Well, kidding, of course you have a choice, but that's what they're for.

wubbiebear

I don't know whether I'll keep him or sell him.  I'll just have to see what happens.  I can't wait to start making him.  I'm just trying to find someone who knows how to cut it because I have a hate/hate relationship with scizors.  Becky, who is getting your faux fur bear?

wubbiebear

I'm sure your granddaughter will love her bear.  How cool to get a homemade bear from Grandma.

wubbiebear

Thanks, Becky and Connie.

I hope it's okay that I re-posted this bear.  I did this because I finally got him listed on Etsy.  He's a white faux fur bear with googley eyes and a pompom nose similar to the other bear that Becky has, but of course not exactly like him.  He's stuffed very softly so that you can give him a big squuz.  His head is very floppy so that he can bob his head when he listens to music.  He is not suitable for small children because of the eyes and nose, but he would be great for older children or of course adult collectors.  I hope you guys like him.  He is in what I call my Flattie Bears series because he's from the two piece pattern from Lenora Ovenshire, except the size is increased.

I would like to vote, but darn those pictures.  I guess I'll have to vote on who gives the best description.  Is that fair?

wubbiebear

For some reason my computer is not liking your web site.  Can you describe the regular bear pattern?  I just got some mohair and I'd like to have a new pattern, but I'm not really ready to use joints yet because I'm afraid they'll be visual.  Thanks.

wubbiebear

The first mohair Braille Teddy is on his way.  Right now he's still a piece of fabric because I have a scisor phobia around fabric, especially mohair because I don't want to make a hot mess.  Lenora sent me a piece so I can see what it's like.  Does anybody have anything I need to know before I start sewing?  Thanks.

wubbiebear

Phillip, thanks for the plug.  Man, Arcto really needs to update his blog ASAP.

wubbiebear

I hate to sound like a straightie, but I called Intercal the other day and asked them about faux fur and they said they don't carry it.  I'm not sure where you live, but my local fabric stores sell faux fur and there's also an online web site, but they're in the USA.

wubbiebear

Peterbear, his story also made Arcto and me cry like babies and then go AWWWWWWW.

On Wordpress, whenever anyone subscribes or comments, they send you an e-mail with all the information such as e-mail address, but I don't know about Blogger.

wubbiebear

He's a very precious bear.  How long ago did you see him?

wubbiebear

Okay, here's a link to his picture.  Does anybody know about this guy?

The booger is that I want to try some mohair bears, so it looks like I'll have to start buying fabric online after all.  You can't walk into your local fabric store and pick up a yard of mohair.  I tried and they laughed at me, not really.  They're nice people.

wubbiebear

Sorry, but my screen reader is set up nothing like what you're talking about.  It treats everything like a page going straight down, so when you say it's on the top right corner or whatever, it's like the teacher off of Charlie Brown that went womp womp womp.  If I know whether it's a link or a button and exactly how it's labeled I can find it.  And yes, I'd like to see what a mohair Braille Teddy would look like.

wubbiebear

I'm trying to figure out how to follow you, but I don't see a subscribe link.  I would love to have some mohair to try.

wubbiebear

I thought it would be fun to create a thread where those of us who travel with our bears can share stories and, for some of us, pictures of our bears on trips.  Hubbie and I just got back from a Ricky Scaggs concert in Nashville.  For those of you who don't know, he's one of the best bluegrass musicians in the history of ever.

Arcto somehow found his way into my beg because he really wanted to see the concert.  I've kind of got him hooked on bluegrass.  He wanted to go so he could write about it in his blog.

After the concert, Ricky stayed and talked with the fans and gave autographs.  I got to meet him and he took a picture with Arcto and me.  Ricky was holding Arcto and I was standing beside Ricky.  Arcto and I were both on cloud 9 about it.  A lady that I met there took the picture and she said she would e-mail it to me, but I don't know whether I can put it here.  It will be on the blog as soon as I can figure out how to put pics there.

wubbiebear

I feel so sad for that lady because she never had a bear.  I can't even imagine a life with no bears.

wubbiebear

Bears can be easily fluffed up.  My bears, especially the ones I sleep with, are pretty flat.  Someone told me my favorite Bear Arcto was so flat he didn't even look like a bear anymore, lol.  I think she was exagerating.  Bears are pretty resilliant and the loved bears are usually flat anyway after being hugged a lot.

He's supposed to go in the thread I started about the Boyd's Bear.  It's now in the collector's corner.  Thanks for fixing his pic.  I don't know why I can't upload pics here, but I can on my other forums.
