Great bears, love the colors and those face expressions are wonderful.

EvaJ

Joanne, Douglas is absolutely gorgeous!!  I love what you have done to the muzzle, it looks so real.

EvaJ

Just stunning!!!  Your cats are always great but you really outdid yourself this time. bear_wub  bear_wub  bear_wub

Love the look on the face.  Wonderful bear.

EvaJ

What an adorable little girl.

I normally don't like the elephants but this one is sooooooo cute.  Beautiful job. bear_wub

Addicted to bear making...no way        Thanks for the eye info and maybe you can share the wing info too.  I have never done wings but would be very interested in your technique.   I also make soft dolls.  I switch from one to the other and have for years.

EvaJ

I too have read this but like everyone else, October-January are extremely busy times for me.  It is a nice idea though.

EvaJ

My fingers are crossed for you.  You are lucky in this market to sell so fast.

EvaJ

 What a sweet little lady!

Pretty-in-pink-7-6-09-002.jpgThis was sold as soon as I got it made for a girl on her 16th birthday.  It is a 10 inch bear.

EvaJ

You have a wonderful hug.  I need to get mine all together someday and take pictures of them.

EvaJ

Beautiful kitty.  She has such a sweet face.

EvaJ

Alison, love the dog pic.  You will be eating lots of watermelon by the looks of it.  Happy 4th.

EvaJ

Thanks Jane for the cool card.  I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday too.  We went out for a while this morning but it is too hot now to do anything.  I have a daughter who was due on the 4th of July and I told the doctor, no way I have plans, well she waited until the 10th to be born.  That was the longest 6 days in my life bear_grin

I haven't been able to hand sew a whole bear for about 10 years.  It use to be fun but my fingers go to sleep now so everything I can do on the machine I do.  Of course, I have been using a sewing machie since I was a child so it was no problem for me to make bears that way.  Best of luck with your switching to a machine.

EvaJ

She is so cute and love the print on the dress.

EvaJ

I cast my votes too.  It took a long time because it was so hard to decide what to vote on they are all so great.  Good luck to all the critters and their makers.

I know the economy is bad all over the world but I also think that all the news reporting we get now adds to what people are doing about it.  I remember the last big recession in the late 80's, early 90's when unemployment was at 12 and 13% and now it is about 9 or 10%.  Foreclosures were bad and businesses closed then too but the news people didn't report it as much.  My husband lost his job then and we were doing many craft shows and we didn't make it.  Today I am selling more of my crafts but I don't have to rely in them selling as I did then.  I am now trying to make things that are lower in price so that people can afford them as they always need a gift or two to give.  My bears are selling at a good rate...but not a fast as I can make them  bear_grin   My other things, dolls etc. are doing pretty good on the website.

Those of us who have been around many of these recessions know that things will get better in a year or two.  I feel for those of you who have to rely on the sale of your bears for every day living expenses.  These recessions really knock you down.  I hope everyone will be able to make it though and come out the other side to brighter days.

Be positive, list your products on lots of websites, keep plugging away and keep a smile on your face.

Alison, the first 5 years we lived in the Phoenix area all we had was a swamp cooler.  I wonder now how we ever made it but we did.   bear_rolleyes   Hope you can get your a/c fixed.  We keep our a/c on 83 or 84 degrees and that is low enough for us.  The electric company loves all of us in the summer. bear_grin

EvaJ

These are great.  Maybe you should try a whole dinner set.
