hi there, if they are real fur and are in good shape it's a great deal for 25.00 dollars each [ even more if one is fox ]
Gorgeous tiger Judi!!
On several sites I read that it is common with bladder infection in young puppies and on some other sites it says it's not common and the vet never really said much but this is her third full day of treatment and she is much better but I also blocked the living room area off and she is allowed in the kitchen way more than where the rug is. I'm also thinking with her being sick that's why she was so mellow and now with her feeling better she's a handful!!
She has been swatted by the cats more times than I can count but she persists but I know this phase will pass
great tip!! I'll have to try that!! Thanks for sharing
Good luck kimberly on your sweet little pup! He'll probably be house broken before Dakota
my gosh woman! Don't you ever stop amazing people?!!!!! Absolutely perfect
How did I miss this one?! He's adorable!! You know how much I admire your work
yes hopefully will be better trained soon, haven't tried bell yet but I think I will put bell up today. It's kind of hard to because all she wants to do is stay outside. She'll stay outside for hours and doesn't want in so I think I'll have to make her come inside just to see if we have made any progress
Oh and you should line the pattern pieces with a material like muslin
here's what I do:
-- Lay your pattern pieces in the direction of the nap, if there's any leather strips in between try to work around them
--- I use a razor blade to cut them out because you don't cut into the fur much at all and then there's less fur going up your nose and it's faster
---- When I hand sew I use a small leather [glover] needle or if machine sewing use a leather needle but make sure the stitches aren't too close together or it will cut the leather.
I hope that helps a bit
thank you Sue Ann and Sarah, i was almost happy that it's not the way she is and they actually found a reason for it, if that makes any sense. other than that I couldn't of asked for a better puppy She already knows how to sit and lay down
Hi everybody I took Dakota to the vet today and she does have bladder infection poor girl. she should be doing better soon and then hopefully the training will be alot easier
What would i do without all of your ladies info!! I appreciate this sooo much. She gets a check up on Saturday so we'll see if she has any infection but I'm thinking it's just her because at night she sleeps in her crate for 4 hours at a time without any accidents and I figure maybe if it was an infection she wouldn't be able to do that?? She does drink alot and it's not very hot here right now so I'll take away the water at times. I was so proud of her last night, when I put her to bed she hardly whined at all and it gives the cats a break
Thank you for the information on this book Michelle Dakota had 16 pee accidents today instead of 20 something like yesterday
Is this really normal for some pups??????
Thanks Ellen and I'm soo sorry to "hear" your dog has cancer. My other dog passed away 3 years ago because of kidney failure and to watch her struggle to go outside to pee without falling over was torture to watch, even though at that point I didn't care if she went on the carpet as I knew she wasn't going to be with us much longer I think Dakota is knowing now that going on the floor is bad because she's giving me those guilty looks now
thank you gals I can't believe how this pup can amuse herself outside all on her own and she's only 10 weeks old
not silly at all Kim it must be one beautiful home, so take a picture :photo:
wow Kim! Your talent never stops!! What a great room for a little boy!
Her name is Dakota It seems kind of strange right now for her to even have a name, I can't believe I have a dog again! kind of like when you bring home your first baby
I think I will try the kennel thing but might have to put her in my room like I do at night or if she sees me or my daughter she'll whine and bark. She loves being outside! even in the rain, when I'm ready to go in the house alot of the times she wants to stay outside and amuse herself
I will post more pics as she grows!
Thank you for all the nice compliments She has very nice markings I just have to get through the training but i know it will get better
3 accidents a day would be a dream for me! This pup has gone 4 times on the rug since 9:00 am and it's now 10 after 11:00  I've rushed her outside every time and I'm really hoping she catches on real soon. I tell her every time " pee outside" and then put her outside. It's pouring rain here today yuk! I know she can hold her pee for 4 hours at a time because in the night I leave her in her crate and take her out once in the middle of the night and she hasn't gone in her crate Hey, there's another owner here, where's my daughter???? I'm almost thinking I should put her in her crate for 2 hours in the afternoon just to have a break?
a very cute sweet puppy we just got one 2 days ago
I forgot about all the house breaking, chewing on wood table legs and digging holes in the yard, playfully barking at the cats to play[of course the cats don't think of play
] but I must think positive as I'm sure we all get through these stages and they become a great dog
There are so many great things about having a dog also
thank you gals for all the info! only 3 accidents a day in the beginning? This girl pees so much like I've shampooed about 10 or so spots today! it's crazy Do you think maybe she has a bladder infection or something??
Thank you for all that info!! I have read that they are a more relaxed dog and can be a bit docile [which I wanted] We picked the quietest one of the two females, the other one was way more dominant. She actually likes to play outside by herself for awhile I'll have to see about those spurts of energy they get, i can just imagine how big and clumsy they will get! and yours knocking the tv off the dresser!
Thank you for all the compliments on her looks everyone I will try the bell thing, and Kimberly, WHAT! 1 1/2!!!! So your baby was a boy? Maybe the girls catch on quicker
