Oh Jane...those are BEAUTIFUL!!! I think you have done a fabulous job.
My son took a class on beadmaking and he has been trying to talk me into trying it. He said it was really fun and the beads he made were great! Like you, I just dont know how I would juggle it all
*laughing* You got yourself quite a man there Jane...can I borrow him to train my hubby?
I cant wait to see more of your beads!!!
Bear Hugs,
Kim
Yes, this mohair feels alot thicker then what I am used to. I tend to use more the sparse and semi-sparse mohairs, so this feels amazingly thick to me. If you like the dense mohairs, your will LOVE this!!!

Kim
I didnt know where to post this, but I wanted to let you all know I have listed a piece of 100 year old mohair on bid 4 bears. Its a nice sized piece at 26"x39" and has a nice sturdy almost canvas like backing. Im offering it with no reserve in hopes a teddy bear artists out there would be excited to find this unique mohair to work with!
Think of the possiblities!!! *smiles*

With Connie's permission, I am adding a photo of the Bamboo I made from this pattern. I designed this pattern several years ago and was thrilled to share it with Connie!
I think its so much fun to see how artist interpret things a little bit differently or how a slight adjustment in ones technique can alter a bear.
Thanks Connie for sharing your finished panda!
Bear hugs,
Kim
Connie, he turned out FABULOUS! You did a wonderful job on him!
I do think some airbrushing would make him "pop" and bring out his character just that much more. If you dont feel comfortable airbrushing, try dry brushing! Load up your brush with some paint and run it arcoss a piece of paper until the paint is almost completely gone and it is only a faint showing of color. Then brush around the paw pads...its a nice way to have total control of where your paint ends up.
I love the trapunto paw pads...its nice added touch!
Bear Hugs,
Kim
Oh Brenda, thats hysterical! I actually use a straight pin and attach them to the head so I cant lose 'em. If I forget to do this, somehow I always manage to misplace one. I rarely lose the set, its alway one darn ear!
Thanks for sharing your funny story! I needed a good laugh
Bear Hugs,
Kim
I have some mohair scraps! OK, I have tons of it....you'll have to give me a day or two to go through it and I'll get back to you Richy. If you dont hear from me within a day or two, email me. I have tons of things going on right now and I may forget.
Bear Hugs,
Kim
Oh Ellen, what a wonderful story!
Thank you so much for sharing it with all of us. It is so nice to see such an uplifting story with a happy ending!
Bear hugs,
Kim
Ohhh how fun! I do have to say I love the name Sage
I named my daughter Kennedy Corina just to be different (Corina was after my Grandma). Growing up with a name like Kim (VERY common) I wanted her to have something unique.
I also like the "old fashion" names.....Emma, Olivia, Abigail, Amelia, Constance
Oh Sonya...I LOVE your Granddaughter's name!
It will be fun to follow this thread and see what you end up naming your daughter! Are you finding that hubby shoots down every name you like, yet never offers up one of his own *grin* Thats the problem we had!
Bear hugs,
Kim
Samantha
I just love your wee teds! You pack so much personality into each one
Bear hugs,
Kim
Accckkkk! This is too cute! Are you going to be making any more of these for the holidays? If so, I would be interested in possibly adopting one for my sis for Christmas!
Bear hugs,
Kim
Oh Krista! These are FABULOUS! I love your kitties and dogs! You do a wonderful job on all of them!
Bear hugs,
Kim
Here is a little tip if your nose threads dont look perfect, spritz it with a dab of water and run the palm of your hand over it several times...it smooths out the stitches and makes them look more even.
Now if your nose is crooked or lop sided..redo it! There is no way around that *smiles*
I definately agree with Jared, Shane and Judi...if your tired, not in the mood or feel restless...walk away! Come back to it when your rested and relaxed or you will create double the work for yourself.
I also find if I start a nose, I have to be prepared to finish it in one sitting. If I walk away and come back to it, my thread tension, spacing, or something is always off and I cant get it to look right.
Bear hugs,
Kim
I only work in mohair, but I just use a spray bottle with plain ol' water in it, brush it the way I want it, let it dry. Once it is dry, I re-brush it to fluff it back up and it stays in place.
I dont know if this will help you at all, but i would be a little concerned about using any "products" on my bear.
Bear hugs,
Kim
I have done Kool-Aid dyed mohair before and it makes your bear smell sooooo yummy and fruity! *smiles*
Good luck with your dying projects!
Bear hugs,
Kim
Im currently working on a 28" bear...yikes! I cant imagine hand sewing him *smiles* I dont normally make many bears of this size, but I just felt the need to do something a little different...sounds like you did too!
Im sorry, I cant offer any advice about the size of stitches, but Im sure someone will be able to help you out there.
Good luck on your BIG bear...cant wait to see it!
Bear hugs,
Kim
I know someone has listed fur coats on bid 4 bears...Im not sure what kind they are, but its worth checking out!

Wow Sonya! I cant believe how much they have filled out and how cute they are! Your lucky to be able to keep them both.
I miss having all the puppies around here....we have placed 6 of the 7 and I just couldn't part with my Uno. I had 2 people who wanted him, but i just couldn't do it. He stayed right here with me and I just love him to bits! He is so silly and such a big baby!
Enjoy your little sweeties!
Bear hugs,
Kim
Yup...I had the same thing happen to me. Its the box size that gets ya now. USPS has switched to package size determining a portion of the price, not to mention weight. I mailed something that should have cost about $14, they tried to charge me $29, BUT when I came home and put it in a little smaller box, it ended up being $18....I dont quite know why USPS thinks this is good for business because people are going to start finding alternate ways to ship. Its a lose, lose situation iof you ask me.
Hugs,
Kim
Wow...these are fantastic!!! You did a wonderful job on the display piece. It looks so nice and Im sure they will love it!
Hugs,
Kim
Even though its only a little sneak peek, you can still tell everything about your bears are pure perfection!
I love the suspense! *grin*
Hugs,
Kim
She is precious! I just love this little mer-panda!
I cant wait to see all the bears at the show
