I just tried this airbrush I bought 3 months ago, I can't seem to get it to suck the paint up from the jar and it looks thin enough, and everytime I go to turn the pressure up it shuts off bear_angry It has nothing really for instructions, please any tips! bear_wacko

I have never heard that before, only softening the pelts with glycerin, but I am interested about the paint thing bear_original

momanimallover

hi bear_original use glycerin, rub it into the leather gently [ as it might rip if you rub it in too hard, if it's that fragile] and let it soak in for a day or so.... until it's more supple. I hope it's not too far gone for even glycerin bear_shocked but I would do this before you cut out the pattern

I always use fabreeze after I'm done making the bear, it never gets a chance to touch the leather cause as soon as I spray it on, I blow dry the fur bear_original  bear_thumb

momanimallover

hi bear_original I always put febreeze on my real fur bears and then blow dry it dry, works great! I also hand washed a piece of real fur [fox fur] with some shampoo, rinsed it well, squeezed the water ot gently, put towels on top and pressed hard on it to soak up some water, then I used the blowdryer to dry it. Took awhile to dry but turned out fine! I have put it in the dryer on gentle heat and that seemed to work well also, I would never use a hot heat though, the fur was so fluffy afterwards! Maybe try a test piece bear_original I hope this helps,  Brenda. Oh, and when blowdrying, brush the fur as your drying it

I was thinking the same thing bear_original What exactly is apoxie sculpt? A type of glue/clay?

momanimallover

Hi bear_original I want to do some airbrushing [when I get an airbrush] and I was wondering if this works good on real fur, and if you use acrylics or an oil base? Thanks so much if you can help me!

momanimallover

Thanks Judi, I didn't even think of that! bear_original

momanimallover

thank you soo much Krista!! This will really help me bear_thumb

momanimallover

If anyone knows please help! I'm making a bunny and want wire in the ears, how do I put wire in the ears and then turn it inside out? or is there another method? bear_wacko Thanks!

momanimallover

I know I should be getting my sister's little girls scrapbook done as she's 2 yrs. already! but I love to create the kitties and bears and cramp my hands up! but mostly, if I had the money, I would open up an animal rescue sanctuary on a acreage and save all those abused and neglected animals... bear_wub

momanimallover

I was thinking of buying her back since she has no bids yet but my house is so cluttered! I only have room for those tiny little ones but I'm thinking about it anyways bear_smile

momanimallover

Lets hope so. It sure feels strange seeing your own bear up for sale bear_wacko

momanimallover

I was looking through the list of bears on ebay and noticed one of my bears I made a liitle while ago!  bear_shocked What a punch in the gut! and the pictures that were taken make her nose look huge and I know she was cuter than that and had a smaller nose! I know people have their reasons but I still feel insulted bear_cry It's almost like listing your own bear again to see if it actually sells. I hope it does! I guess I will have to keep a watch on her. This lady only bought her in April. bear_ermm

momanimallover

I love those little mice! Does she make Degus?? bear_wub

momanimallover

okay, it does sound alot easier to make it seperate bear_thumb Thank you for your input

momanimallover

I am trying to make a kitty pattern for the first time and was wondering about the tail........is it easier to make the tail with the body or would it be better to make it seperate and then sew on?

momanimallover

You are a great person Jodi, always remember that!

momanimallover

I mostly hand sew bear_whistle it takes forever though! Sometimes I machine sew but it's like I lose control and go so fast around the corners I completely sew off of the whole leg or arm

momanimallover

you have to be so proud of yourself! you seem like the most wonderful person! bear_wub

momanimallover

I thought the same thing, mom and little kitty bear_smile your talent is wonderful! bear_wub

momanimallover

she is so adorable Sarahjane! The way she sits on the pile of jellybeans and is holding one! bear_wub Too cute  and the tea party  Great work and wonderful pictures! bear_wub

momanimallover

oh that makes me so mad when it comes to animal abuse!!! I just couldn't look at the pictures bear_cry I really hope when their time comes that they feel every single pain that they have ever inflicted on an animal! bear_angry

momanimallover

Hi Catherine bear_grin I have used wire with white panthose or tights. You just shape the wire into wings and then put [ I use child size] the white tights over it and twist thinner wire over and over...... intil their snug over the wire. Does that make any sense? bear_tongue

momanimallover

he is so sweet! bear_wub and you never realize how tiny they are until you see them in your hand
