Crown Critters

I am very pleased to introduce my latest creation, Winston.

Winston is made from dense, cream alpaca. His silicone sculpted paws have been detailed with airbrushing and hand shaded using various pigments of artist ink and then sealed. He has glass eyes and his hands and feet have realistic claws that are hand made from epoxy clay. He has four joints and his neck, arms and back have armature to hold almost any pose. He does not have a traditional neck that turns from side to side. Because of the armature his head is able to move up and down and swivel side to side for more realistic movement. Winston is stuffed with a mixture of polyfil and plastic pellets to add some weight. He sits 16 inches tall.

Crown Critters

Black bears have always held a special place in my heart. I think of all the bears and critters that I have made over the years, that Button is the one that makes me really stop and smile. I wanted to really try to capture his look as a young cub. He is the most realistic bear I have made but I love that I was still able to capture a slight teddy bear quality. This is why I call them "character bears". He is made of very dense, black mohair and is 15 inches sitting and 20" standing. (Still working on a foot design that would allow them to stand on their own. He came pretty close). He has taxidermy glass eyes and his neck, back and arms are armature using a loc-line type armature.
