Kim I too like , "What ever happened to Baby Jane", for some strange reason, do you know , that to this day, I will not walk in front of a car with someone behind the wheel and the engine running, my husband thinks it's so wierd.      bear_ermm LOL

Claire, I do like the new version, but the series just seems to do it for me, I seem to want to compare the two, which isn't really fair, the old one is about 10 hours long and the new one is about 2 .

Tami I am so very sorry, Grandmas are so special, they love without limits and they never seem to want to judge what we do, they just love us completely. I lost my grandma a year ago last November and I still cry when I think of the fact she is no longer here so I can see her and be with that one person that loved me without conditions. My heart aches for your loss.

This may have already been posted but it bears repeating for those that may not have caught it like myself. This was sent to me by my sister. She wasn't the one that fell for it. Thank goodness.

FYI...read this!

>I checked this out on Snopes, and, amazingly, it is true
>(http://www.snopes.com/crime/warnings/creditcard.asp)
>New Credit Card Scam
>
>This one is pretty slick since they provide YOU with all the
>information, except the one piece they want.
>
>Note, the callers do not ask for your card number; they already have it.
>This information is worth reading. By understanding how the VISA &
>MasterCard Telephone Credit Card Scam works, you'll be better prepared
>to protect yourself.
>
>I am slowly getting over the last incident when I was called on
>Wednesday from "VISA", and again on Thursday from "Master Card". >

>The scam works like this: Person calling says, "This is (name), and I'm
>calling from the Security and Fraud Department at VISA. My Badge number
>is 12460. Your card has been flagged for an unusual purchase pattern,
>and I'm calling to verify. This would be on your VISA card which was
>issued by (name of bank). Did you purchase an Anti-Telemarketin g Device

>for $497.99 from a Marketing company based in Arizona?" When you say
>"No", the caller continues with, "Then we will be issuing a credit to
>your account. This is a company we have been watching and the charges
>range from $297 to $497, just under the $500 purchase pattern that flags
>most cards. Before your next statement, the credit will be s ent to
>(gives you your address), is that correct?"
>
>You say "yes". The caller continues - "I will be starting a Fraud
>investigation. If you have any questions, you should call th e 1- 800
>number listed on the back of your card (1-800-VISA) and ask for
>Security.
>
>You will need to refer to this Control Number. The caller then gives you
>a 6 digit number. "Do you need me to read it again?"
>
>Here's the IMPORTANT part on how the scam works . The caller then says,
>"I need to verify you are in possess ion of your card". He'll ask you to
>"turn your card over and look for some numbers". ; There are 7 numbers;
>the first 4 are part of your card number, the next 3 are the security
>Numbers' that verify you are the possessor of the card. These are the
>numbers you sometimes use to make Internet purchases to prove you have
>the card. The caller will ask you to read t he 3 numbers to him. After
>you tell the caller the 3 numbers, he'll say, "That is correct, I just
>needed to verify that the card has not been lost or sto len, and that you
>still have your card. Do you have any other questions?" After you say
>No, the caller then thanks you and states, "Don't hesitate to call back
>if you do", and hangs up.
>
>You actually say very little, and they never ask for or tell you the
>Card number. But after I was called on Wednesday, I called back within
>20 minutes to ask a question. Am I glad I did! The REAL VISA Security
>Department told me it was a scam and in the last 15 minutes a n ew
>purchase of $497.99 was charged to my card.
>
>Long story - short - I made a real fraud report and closed the VISA
>account. VISA is reissuing me a new number. What the scammers want is
>the 3-digit PIN number on the back of the card. Don't give it to them.
& gt;Instead, tell them you'll call VISA or Master card directly for
>verification of their conversation. The real VISA told us that they will
>n ever ask for anything on the card as they already know the information
>since they issued the card! If you give the scammers your 3 Digit PIN
>Number, you think you're receiving a credit. However, by the time you
>get your statement you'll see charges for purc hases you didn't make,
>and by then it's almost too late and/or more difficult to actually file
>a fraud report. (Just like the last time)
>
>What makes this more remarkable is that on Thursday, I got a call from a
>"Jason Richardson of Master Card" with a word-for-word repeat of the
>VISA scam. This time I didn't let him finish. I hung up! I filed a
>police report, as instructed by VISA. The police said they are taking
>several of these reports daily! They also urged me to tell everybody I
& gt;know that this scam is happening NOW.

Oh I know my previous post was a tale of woe and while it is not fun, I am not taking it laying down , I am collecting all that I can and if it continues, we will take legal action.  My husband thinks we have enough now, but I want it to be an open and shut case of harrassment, they will keep it up  and as a wise person said , given enough rope they'll hang themselves.

I love hamsters, I can not go into pet stores because if I don't have a hamster I will be walking out with one. My last hamster would get out all the time and I would leave food out for it and do what Nancy said turn everything off  and listen for it. One time it was gone for a week and I thought I would some day smell a horrible smell behind the wall, but one night it just came walking out. I wish you luck, tell your kids Alex wanted to go on a big adventure, have them make up a story about all the cool things he could be doing, maybe that would help them to not be so upset.

Ebay is what it is, it can be a great place to have a business, I have been a member since 1999 and have loved it but it has it's shortcomings, like the topic we have talked about, it can be a horrible place to kill your self worth , the secret as others have said, far better then I , and that is, just do it because you love it and even if you weren't selling on there, you would still have that drive to create.  Ebay has opened up the world to me , I have met the most wonderful people, collectors and artists. Some collectors I feel like they have almost became family. And some of the artists are like sisters to me.  Now as I said it does have it's down side, in the last month I have experienced that , I have a couple people who have taken upon themselves to try to ruin my business, by bidding on my items so to ruin my 800 + positive feedback.  What kind of people do that???????????  They have also taken to watching my posts here on TT.  I have received threatening email and it all started over something I did not do or have any control over.  But life does have a way of making things right, what you put out there will come back to you, ten fold.  (this little gem was from one of those wonderful collectors) They will forever have to ask themselves when things go wrong, "Is this payback for what I did?"

I have had a few of my early bears resold, I cringed when I saw them, but they ended up making more then I sold them for, at least that made me happy.  Pookie's a doll!!!!!!!   I am sure the person just needs the cash.   Some collectors buy and sell pretty quickly , they collect so many, they just don't have enough room for them all.

Rita your bears are too CUTE!!!!!!!!!
ebay is the worst place to get a feel for how good your work is, I have seen some of the best artist do badly on ebay, Lisa Pay is one of my all time favorites and she has had a horrible time on ebay. Some artist don't do well, then all of a sudden catch fire and go crazy with sells, then some that have been doing well seem to have their sales dry up.

Just keep plugging away , striving to become better, not because you need to, but because you will be learning new things along the way, I am always looking at my work saying "hmmmmm what can I change to make it better" I never seem to be able to make that perfect bear in my head,  Karen Delorenzo seems to be able to make that perfect bear that is in my head  bear_grin man that girl can sew!!!!!

Jodi Moisan

She is so sweet but has a rather cheeky side too. I know I talk to her all the time and I just know she understands me,
she completely hates clothes, to my dismay, I have bought some really cute obnoxious outfits and she manages to get them off and take them under the couch and chews them up.  .  bear_grin

I agree the first hours on Sunday night is very important, I get the most bids at that time and when it shows up the next morning with bids I think people on monday notice it more.  I think if you pay for a certain amount of time (and the clock starts the minutes you list) then you should get that much time, if not they should refund some of your money, if they had to they would do a better job getting the auctions loaded.  I am really excited about Bid 4 Bears I hope it takes off like a rocket ship!

Jodi , if your husbands name is Chuck, I will think we are just alike, I think Chihuahua's are really smart, I had one when I was little , my mom got her when I was an infant, she grew up with me and I carried her everywhere, I was devasted when she had to be put down due to an infection in her teeth/gums she was 14 almost 15 she was such a sweet heart, never barked.  Then we always had outside dogs and I started to have an allergic reaction to them so I just assumed I could never have an inside dog, well I kept wanting a chihuahua again and we got one last year, I have no allergic reaction to her at all. And she is so smart, I pad trained her and she took to it so quickly,  she can learn things almost the second you tell her.  I just love her to pieces. I have a ton of chihuahua books you can have if you want to read up on them.  Her full name is Princess Carmella Bonita Bella, we call her Bella.

Here's a picture of her full grown this was her halloween outfit, she weighs 7 pounds
