Thanks Shane!  I had a lot of the same ideas you had....especially with the frog. I thought i would give it big bulging eyes, but the cape is another great idea!

Thanks for taking the time to give me your thoughts!

I volunteer in my son's class every Thursday...today when I walked in, his teacher had that look, you know the one, the one that says "you, ya you...your the one I wanted to talk to!" I thought oh dear, what has my son done.
Pheeew, it was nothing bad other then the fact that the kids are putting on a play in 2 weeks and she needs costumes...ugghhh! Anyways, I need to make 3 squirrel tails, a pair of eagle wings and a frog hat. She said last year they just took brown paper and crumpled it up in the shape of a tail for the squirrel, had nothing for the frog but green flippers and they used paper bags for the eagle wings.
I know I can do better then that and I do have some ideas in mind, but I knew you ladies would have TONS of ideas! These can be really simple, but I know for sure I dont want eagle wings that are paper bags...maybe painted and varnished paper bags, but not just an ol' brown bag!

Any ideas or suggestions would be great!!!

Oh dear...I had tears in my eyes reading that one! I have a little guy just like Eli and it brings back so many memories that at the time weren't so funny, but now they are hysterical!

Thank you so much for sharing that with us all....makes me love being a Mom!

Im never shocked at the things that happen on ebay....

Way to go Kathy! Your reply was so professional, yet got your point across.

I hope that you didnt let this silly letter bother you. I would simply delete it and not give it another thought!

Congrats Grandma and a VERY Happy Mother's Day to you!!! How exciting!
Im so happy to hear that your new Grandson is doing well.
Wow, a 6lb 2oz preemie. He looks so healthy and I think that is a great weight for being 5 weeks early!
Have a wonderful day and enjoy that sweet little bundle of joy...before you know it, they are all grown up!

Im never surprised anymore at the things that happen on ebay....where do people get off writting such a letter?
I just read Kathy's post...the exact same email as you got and I completely understand Kathy's reply...way to go Kathy! You were so professional, yet got your point across.
We are ALWAYS trying to stretch our abilities as an artist and challenge ourselves. Its not copying at all. I have to say, I had been thinking of making a pig for awhile. I had already dyed the mohair and I was pondering my design and how I wanted my pattern to look. Then Michlle Lamb did a pig. Yes it was just a fluke that we both made pigs and I assure you, I did not copy her at all. Sometimes two artists just have the same idea at the same time.
I hope that you didnt let this silly letter bother you. I would simply delete it and not give it another thought!
Keep making you darling kitties!

Ohhh they are so sweet! What a kind hearted person you are! Not many people would want to foster a cat, let alone a pregnant cat. Yeah for you!!
I cant understand how anybody could possibly leave their pet behind...arrrghhhh, so frusterating to hear these kinds of stories, but I sure am glad it has had a happy ending.
A very Happy Mother's Day to kitty!

kallie214

"Here's your sign"........some people are so darn "stoooopid"!
I love your story...I havent laughed that hard in quite awhile. The fact that she actually believed you just kills me.

Still chuckling,

Kim

kallie214

I couldn't even listen to the whole thing cuz I wanted to hang up on her!

Hey Chrissi, one of the males that is still available is sooooooooo passive! These little guys are not lacking in the socializing dept.....they have been held since the minute they were born.
This little guy (he doesn't have a name yet) will lay on his back and fall asleep in your hands. Some of the puppies wont have anything to do with laying on their back and they wiggle and squiggle to turn over again.
He rarely makes a peep. The one that my sister will be taking whines constantly...even when she is eating, she still cries. Its so funny, but not the kinda dog that I want.
I also have the little runt who hasn't found a home as of yet...he is as cute as a button and pretty passive too. He is quite a bit smaller then the others, but he is slowly catching up.
Here is a pic of the two who haven't found homes yet (the "runt" is on top)puppies_5-9-07_016.jpg

here a few of the pup taking a snooze on Mom

*laughing* No I dont remember that commercial....I dont watch a lot of TV, so I dont remember the other one that Sonya mentioned either....*sigh* I guess I am out of the "commercial loop"

Jane, I had both my male and female flown in. One from Kansas and the other from Oklahoma...(I live in Seattle).
I have two males left and one is calling your name  bear_grin

If my kids had their way, each of them would be able to keep a puppy of their very own. I already have 3 dogs and I would like to keep one puppy.
I cant imagine having anymore then that...I would have my own herd of pooches. Plus I would never be able to walk without someone underfoot...*smiles*

Honestly, I would LOVE to keep them all, but realistically, it just wouldn't work. We camp a lot and we take our dogs with us....cant imagine traveling with 10 dogs and 5 kids.....acckkkkk, I'd be screamin' Calgon, take me away!!!

Bear Hugs,

Kim

kallie214

Hey your in Oregon, Im in Seattle...we could work this out *giggle*

Yes, they are great little dogs, but like you said, you have to be ready to take on a puppy as it is a HUGE responsibilty.
Im very pleased with the homes the puppies will be going to. I know they will be well loved but most importantly, they will be well cared for!

Bear Hugs,

Kim

kallie214

They are mini Dachshunds.  Mom is a red and Dad is a piebald (multicolored Beagle coloring). We got several different colors in her litter...one black and tan, 2 piebald, 2 reds, one red/black mix and one red with white spots.

Bear Hugs,

Kim

kallie214

Yes, they are great little dogs! I love my male, Cletus, to itsy bitsy bits! He is my buddy or should I say my shadow. Our little girl, Cleo, is hubby's dog....she prefers him once he gets home from work because he sits still long enough to give her a warm lap to lay in *smiles* Cletus is a more "on the go" kinda dog.

Hey Shane, I still have two that havent been spoken for....*grin*

Bear Hugs,

Kim

kallie214

Thes are the cutest kitties I have ever seen! Look at those chunky little faces!
Sooooo, here is the big question...how many are you keeping? *grin*

Kim
