Christine,

This bear is so fabulous! I just love how you've done his nose/muzzle. When my bears grow up they've requested (in advance  bear_tongue  ) noses just like this, lol!! Awesome new design.

Woah!  I can't believe how many new animals you've created in the last month or so, you must be superfast with the scissors and needle. I would be struggling to finish one off in the same amount of time.   bear_laugh

I particulary like this one, Suzie has a lovely expression on her face. Good luck with the show.  bear_thumb

Well done to Samantha and to all the artists that took part!!

Well of course measuring from paw to head is the way to go, after all we all grow up and not down... well maybe we do when we get old.  bear_tongue  I didn't realise about not including the ears tho. I have been measuring to the highest point which is the tips of the ears. Not that there's a lot in it to worry about. So even if a bear cannot stand on it's own then it's still classed as a 10" bear and not a 6" bear?

Thanks Kay, I'm glad that you've cleared that up for me.  bear_flower

I've been wondering about this for a while now but have been too embarrassed to ask.  Finally I've decided to just bite the bullet and find out.   bear_rolleyes

When a bear is simply listed as 10 inches (or whatever) do you assume that means the size of the bear when laid flat (i.e. the total length of the bear)??  Sometimes I'm not sure when I'm reading a description if a bear is actually that size when stood up or that high when in the sitting position.  bear_ermm

Sorry to bring up such a dumb question.

Ruth, they are all so wonderful, I would really love to see them in the fur. if I can just work out whether I can sneak out of Coventry swimming pool (my eldest has an important swimming competition there on Sunday) and run over to Stratford. It's not that far away really.....  bear_whistle
