I guess this has to do with the size of the washers, as well as how much you stuff... I like my bears to be floppy so I stuff quite loosely, which means you can feel the joints. But I use slightly smaller washers so they won't protrude.. The old bears I've felt have quite large washers and they can definitely be felt too --- so I was wondering, how much can yours be felt and do you try to make them disappear in the stuffing or no?

IMG_3395.JPGIMG_3393-1.JPGI plan to make vintage style bears and animals, I plucked and "dirtied" this pink bear with fabric colors. He is wearing a vintage doll cardigan that was crocheted by my mother. He has matte glass eyes and he is about 9" tall. He has steel shot in the paws and tummy for weight.

I'm thinking he is finished - I sorta want to age him more, but maybe I will let him be. He has some completely bald spots and grey in his paws and head and ears..

I have made the head from 4 pieces. I fiddled with the head design quite a bit because I wanted a sort of peanut shape in the head...

My goodness how neat!!!
All of them are great, but being a painter I'm especially drooling after the Picasso bear bear_original Fantastic idea and execution! The children ahve the greatest iseas. I'm looking forward to my baby girl being old enough to design toys with me!!!!
