This was a very special request...for a "Guardian Panda" to watch over the little urn that holds her father's ashes.
In the photos used a "stand-in" for the urn (Kathy Davis' dragon was approximately the same size).
I hand-painted the panda's eyes blue-gray which were the color of her father's eyes.

Oh so tiny!
I wanted my hedgehog to curl up too ... I gave it a try, then gave up ... it is a real challenge!
Back in the 90s I met one artist who solved the problem beautifully. Her hedgehog curled up when you stroked it's back. It was brilliant! I wish I had adopted one but I couldn't afford it (so it will always live in my memory instead). One day I will solve this challenge too.

I love dragons and this little one is just wonderful!

This is my first Necktie Teddy Bear, it was inspired by my love of silk scarves and silk neckties. I just realized that I could scale down the neckties for my teddy bears to wear, so I just had to design a man-bear to wear them. I decided to give my teddy "five o'clock shadow" to make him more masculine. This teddy has a dilemma because he can't decide which necktie to wear.
I posted him on my Adoption Website: www.myminkbears.com/adoption and he was offered a new home in minutes after posting. His new owner named him Bogart.

This is my first cover! It only took 23 years ... but finally ... it was worth the wait.
My Artist Profile in featured in this issue and I'm looking forward to reading about me. Its weird when I'm profiled because I'm a very private person so it is usually like I'm reading about someone else. But what fun!!!
I hope you can all find an issue. It is available Aug 3.

These three open mouth crosscut mink puppies where created by special request for a collector who wanted give one to each of her children. Each dog is named after each child (using their nicknames). Since they have open mouths they look like they are smiling.
There are lots of photos of them on my website:

Hi Arlene!
Welcome back to the world of bears. We did many shows together in the 90s. Your bears were always exquisite and I can see that you have not lost your magic touch ... your bears are still amazing. Looking forward to seeing what you will create next.

Your dragons are beautiful!!!!
Designing a mink dragon has been on my "to do" list for 20 years. You have inspired me to start drawing out some patterns to give it a try.

I thought I'd have a little fun with this little polar bear cub, so it will arrive in it's own red ice bucket (and a few ice cubes). But since it is summer I also gave it a garland of flowers to wear.
