Beautiful. I love the way you have done his eyes and nose
Great job!!
Heather, when I click on your ebay link it says "this seller is not found" Is it just me?
Janet, are you sure this was a legitimate email? If I click on your ebay link, you still have an active ebay ID. Sometimes you get an email similar to this to get you to click on the link and then they steal your account info. Please be careful.
Congratulations Sarah, that's wonderful news and well deserved

Thanks Veronica, I'll be checking all those sites and links and I do have some really good books, just need time to read and the ability to concentrate
Thanks Matilda
Veronica, I've just had a look at your site Cloth doll making is another thing I want to get back to doing. I really love the painting and shading on Mertika's face. Did you learn that in an online class? I like to make Father Christmas's also and enjoyed looking at your first attempts. I will make time to check out your links, I can hardly wait, thank-you!!
Thank-you Sandra and Heather
Thank-you Veronica for the helpful information. I know it takes a lot of practice and time, these are an improvement on my first attempts
I will definetly use those links when I get a chance.I want to have a peek at your website too
I used to do a lot of sculpting in polymer clay and worked on fabric sculpted dolls. I feel a pull towards them both if I can only get enough time
These are two angels I sculpted, both live with my sister. I made the one with the baby for a baby shower for her. I wonder if I should try my hand again or if they are just too amateurish to bother. These are not the best pictures but you get the idea
Oh Brenda, how very sad
I'm so sorry
Heartfelt prayers, positive vibes and God's blessings coming your way
Bobbsey Twins for sure, I read them at my grandmothers when I was a little girl and my daughter and I are still collecting them although they are very hard to find and sometimes very pricy
Oh I love this magazine and I am sad along with Tammy as I must order it online now from out west and pay twice the price I cannot even browse the magazine first but must purchase site unseen . I adore the magazine but with what I pay for the magazine and postage, I would like to see what I am buying first
I will go ahead and order this one as soon as it's available in Canada.
Sounds great

Thanks Debora ,I feel the same about your avatar bear , such an adorable, sweet face
Here is my sweet little fella Aidan. He is 21 inches tall and was supposed to be a baby "girl". Well I guess he won and I lost as he turned out to be a "boy" and is more toddler like than baby like.
Oh well, his new mom wants him anyway and I'm going back to the drawing board.
Very best of luck Tami.   I have a TC5 but I choose to stay home with my kids until 3 years ago when I put myself out there as a Substitute Teacher. I have held a 20% position teaching grade 4 for the last two years and I sub almost every day. I prefer to teach Grade Primary-3 but I always wanted to teach Home-Ec(sewing,cooking) or Art. I need to get a permanent position before I can afford to upgrade my licence. Please keep us posted on how the studies are going I know you will make a wonderful Art teacher
Big hugs of heartfelt support, may you find strength to deal with whatever you must deal with today and always
That's wonderful, congratulations!!!
Guess we are all on the same page  I have made polymer sculpted faces for angels and Santas and made fabric sculpted dolls. I really love doing the needle sculpted faces. I want to get back into doing these things this year. I would also like to learn to take better pictures and find at least five more hours to add to my day so that I can actually finish a bear in less than a month and also work on dolls and sculpting angels
Sandy, you made a very good point and it is something that I worry about as well I tried to express that on the other topic that Kim has but I think you did a much better job.
Please don't be afraid to show your work here, you wil find the artists on this board very supportive
Hi Kim. I'm so sorry to hear that you have had this trouble and agree that your bear is by far the cutest and looks so much better in terms of quality than the other. There is no question that the other is modeled after yours especially since she has contacted you, you know for sure that she has seen your style and must really feel your bears are what she wants to aspire towards as an artist. No wonder , your bears are unique and very eye catching
I'm afraid that I have been unable to keep up with all the TT topics and hardly even have time to post let alone work on my bears. I do manage to get one done every few months and had started adding something to my bears in the last six months that I had worked hard to develope. I know that no technique or look can ever belong solely to one artist as people get new ideas all the time. I do try very hard not to make bears that look like anyone elses which I admit is very hard because everyone likes certain looks and styles more than others. I guess if someone felt I was making bears that looked to much like someone elses, I would want the person to contact me privately to express their concern. At the same time, I am now a bit unsure about how I feel as I have been seeing bears on ebay with a very similar technique as the one I had hoped was something that I developed on my own. I don't believe that I am the only person who could ever use this particular touch but my worry is that I may be the one who gets accused of copying because I don't list regularly enough and who knows if people ever even see the few bears I do list. Sorry for the big ramble but I guess it's terrible to be on both sides , I don't want to be accused of copying but at the same time , I don't want to be copied, it really seems to be a difficult area all around.
Me too. Life has taken over and I only get time to read a few posts and see new bears. I just never get the time to comment but I'm blown away by all the incredible talent on this board.
