I haven't read through the whole thread, but I am happy to hear your son is doing better Lenora.  Brain injuries are very scary as I know only too well with what happened to my Dad.  I really hope your son can get back to normal and has no permanent damage  :pray:

Hi Karen,  I'm not sure what velboa feels like, but I can recommend micro plush long from Sassy Bears & Fabrics.  This is the fur I use for nearly all of my creations, including my mini cats, and I absolutely love it!  It does have a bit of stretch but I actually like that and work better with stretch, i find I can manipulate it the way I want.  But you can also get pre-lined micro plush on Sassy's too
