They are both terrific lions! Marion I love his mane, he looks like he would be the leader of the pack for sure. Sue Ann you little cub is adorable!
I just read the postings from June and I wish that I could have come for tea!!!!!:) I wrap anybody over 4" in white tissue paper & bubble wrap and pack with packing material so that they don't move. For the little guys I have a small plastic box with my logo on it.
They are both very adorable!
Congratulations to Judi & Sue Ann!!!! and to everyone that was mentioned in the magazine. I don't have my copy yet and now I can't wait to receive it!!!!
That is too bad Judi, but I think that most people are honest. He should how much his bid was for and how much he owes you for the bear. Best wishes and keep us posted!
What a gorgeous place! I wish that I was there too!!!!! Have a great holiday!
I have some of the same fabric in gold that I overdyed with light brown and it turned into a really nice golden teddy bear brown. You could probably use a dark brown or black on the green and come up with a nice teddy bear color.
My thoughts and prayers are with any of you that are in the path of this huge hurricane.
Hugs and very best wishes,
Terrie
Congratulations Kirsten! Having a baby is so exciting!! and it is always a relief to get past the first three months. Keep us posted!
I am so glad to hear that you are home and that the worst part....( worrying about the surgery).....is over. Take care of yourself and enjoy all of the pampering while you can!
He is adorable!! Yep, Iam going to have to dig my kit out and try one someday soon!
Sorry Daphne but I don't see anything wrong with him either. I love his profile!!!! I don't think that his legs are too high, I think that just shows off his big belly.:D
Hi Rose,
I hand stitch all of my bears that are under 8" and I find it easiest to sew them twice. That way if your stitching line is a little uneven, you can straighten it the second time around and then you also have a good strong seam that won't pop open. Thread size is also important for the size of bear that you are making. I use upholstery thread for anyone 3 1/2" or larger but on anyone smaller, the thread always shows, so for the little guys I use hand quilting thread.
Best wishes with your daughter eye problems and don't give up your fight with the doctors!
Best Wishes for a speedy recovery Daphne. We will ALL be thinkng about you.
YOur bear is adorable. I love his "Who Me?" look.
I donate a fur bear every year to a charity auction for a local company that helps troubled teens and I also make several child safe bears and dolls each year to put in the Santa Anonymous boxes at Christmas.
I love them both! Violet looks so sweet with the bow in her hair.
That is a great idea. Thanks Shelli for posting it here.
He is very cute. I love his big huge smile! I bought a kit and instructions to try some needle felting but I haven't even opened it yet.
Hi Marie,
Your website is wonderful, it is so bright and cheery! And your bears are adorable! Jane, you did an awesome job! Happy belated birthday!
Hugs,
Terrie
I use a fine tip permanent marker or a fine laundry marker but I don't put tags on anyone smaller than 3". I haven't had a problem with smudging but I am very careful not to touch it until it is dry. I use the type of ultra suede that is the same on both sides and it is a medium weight.
I think that you can buy printed ribbon at places that sell labels but I am not sure how small they make them.
Hugs,
Terrie
I make a tag out of ultra suede for the little guys. You can cut it the size that you need.
Hugs,
Terrie
Hi Dilu,
I agree with you about the state of our economic world and I think that if you are happy with the prices that you are asking for your bears, that is all that matters. Money is only one reasons why I ( and probably most people) even make bears. I came to the realization a couple of years ago that I would still make bears even if I had to bury them in the back yard!
Hugs,
Terrie
