Oh sounds fun. But does it have to be a bear or can it be another animal?  Would love to do some type of fall critter bear_original

enchantmentsart

I think you did the right thing by e-mailing the customer. This is the very reason I'm no longer doing commissions.  Ive had some crazy request and customer changing things at the last second bear_sad   If I had gotten a request like that one I would have said yeah but only if you pay for both lol bear_original

enchantmentsart

So cute! Your stuff is always so  amazing!!

enchantmentsart

Ah he's super cute!

I got a box of some odds and ends for doll and bear making and there where some dust covers in the box.
I have:
5 covers, 10"
1 cover 16"

I have no use for these so if anyone wants them they can have them, all I ask is you pay for shipping. Shipping inside the US should only be about $2

enchantmentsart

I had the same issue when I started sewing. The ladder stitch or blind stitch was one thing I just couldn't get. They always looked "puffy" and did not hind well. It wasn't until I got some curved needles that I was able to do it right. One I started doing this stitch with a curved needle it was easy! I'll try to take some picture if I can. Also do you have any bear making books? Most books will show this stitch and I found that was a big help too.

enchantmentsart

bear_cry so sorry to hear the bad news  bear_cry So no wooden houses? Is there nothing like adding siding to the house? Though I'm sure you thought about that. What about your country's embassy? That just doesn't seam right bear_sad

enchantmentsart

Thanks so much.  The Toy Shopee was who I contacted bear_original I was thinking about only starting with one shop to see how it went.  As for prices I've found that my retail is close to wholesale  bear_grin  after comparing lots of needle felted plush prices I'm finding that I'm waaaaaaay under priced.  So I thought rather than go up on my prices I would just turn it over to wholesale.  Like you where saying getting the retail selling out of my hands & giving me more time to create is exactly what I want or would love to do at least.  Thanks so much for your advice!

enchantmentsart

Does anyone do wholesale?  I've been thinking more and more that maybe I should get away from retail and work more toward wholesale. Does anyone have any tips, or advice about wholesale? Or any shops/stores that are great to work with or ones to avoid.

Ive done a little wholesale before but it was for a fund raiser, so I know I can do the number of items needed.

enchantmentsart

Ive never had any issues though somethings have been out of stock before and not in my order. Yeah call Lisa, she's super nice and helpful. She's more than willing to give tips too.

Wonderful! What fun to pose him! I worked briefly with Jim Henson when I lived in NYC. He used to sit in the huge Throne Chair from The Labyrinth during meetings  bear_happy

This is what I got back from the customer

There was no misrepresentation, and it is my fault for not reading your policies more carefully which I need to do going forward. What I didn't like is the face - I love the yarn and the color, but the "knitted" part detracts from the overall appearance of the face, and faces to me are the first thing I look for in my collector bears. If you can't give me a credit for returning him, I understand since it was my fault for not looking closer.

I'm so confused now. Yarn? I guess they thought this bear was knitted or something, I have no clue. The bear is mohair and I clearly say in the listing sparse mohair fabric nothing about yarn. Lol anyway I've offered a discount on a future bear but I dont know what else to do, I just wish they would have contatced me when they got the bear.

enchantmentsart

Thanks everyone. Uhg I wish the customer would e-mail me back. I really want to know what they didn't like. And on the Etsy listing there where 5 pictures from every possible side, so I don't know what I did wrong. I wish the customer would have contacted me when they got the bear & I would have been way more willing to work with them. $50 may not be a huge amount but it's already been spent on bills and this is going to mess me up big time on my money  bear_cry

Sense it's been so long sense she got the bear I thought about giving her 20% off her next order and she could keep that bear. What does everyone think?  I really can't afford to give a full refund with out breaking the bank
bear_sad and given that she doesn't like the bear wouldn't a credit or a future discount be pointless, if she doesn't like my bears?  Uhg sorry this is killing me because I want my customers to be happy but at the same time I don't have the money bear_sad

enchantmentsart

Yeah I worked in retail for years and waited tables. My oddest thing was a guy at olive garden ordering ravioli without the paste and got up and stormed out of the restaurant when I told him that could not be done

I've e-mailed the customer so we'll see what happens. It was this little guy http://enchantmentsart.deviantart.com/a … -158846782

enchantmentsart

Well the bear was only $50 but the moneys long gone. I wish they would have contacted me when they got the bear and then I would still have had the money. They didn't even tell me why they where not happy, & i've never had an unhappy customer before bear_sad

enchantmentsart

Ok so someone bought a bear off my Etsy store and now almost a month later they say the bear is not what they expected & they want a refund. Has anyone had this happen before? My store plolicys say no refund or exchange but I want my customers to be happy. Uhg what should I do?
