thanks Kelly & Tami, yes Alice Cherry Blossom is SO cute.  I couldn't resist getting one even though they are hideously expensive.

There are many bjd companies that make animal dolls, one of the main ones is Pipos http://piposland.com/index.php  I just love Curo the bunny  bear_wub   maybe one day.....

Hi Tami, nice to see another bear artist has been bitten by the BJD bug!  I have a few bjds myself (check them out here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/catherine- … 234073738/).  I don't think I would ever attempt to sculpt one for myself though - looks too difficult bear_original

I've had one 0 feedback bidder before, I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt but it ended up a lot of trouble.  She won the auction but wanted to pay in two installments and with a money order.  After 2 months waiting I got half the amount and then she never contacted me again.  I'll definitely be more wary next time.

Cat Gabriel

I've never made a bear larger than 6 inches, but I can say that my collectors appreciate the small size of my bears/animals - I'm not sure if they would sell so well if they were larger...

Cat Gabriel

I'm so glad your daughter is ok.....  I've been followed a few times, it's frightening.

I just visited your blog Christine and think it's great!  I have just added your link on my blog bear_original

They are wonderful Christine!  Well done.  Sassy fabrics are THE BEST  bear_thumb

Hi everyone,

My website has a fresh new look, come by and let me know what you think or drop a note in my guestbook!  I have a bad habit of changing my website every few months or so, but I'm really happy with this one - I'll stick with it for a while I think  bear_tongue   Also, if anyone wants to exchange banners or text links, just let me know.

I also have some happy news to share  - I am pregnant with my 2nd child!  Due on the 2nd of April, everything going fine so far.  Hoping for a girl this time but we'll see  bear_smile

Hi Edie,

I don't list on ebay any more.  My bears either didn't sell at all or went for a really low price - it does become very discouraging and disappointing.

I have now switched to selling my bears exclusively off my own website and the difference has been amazing, my bears have been selling so much better.  As long as you get the word out and advertise your new arrivals - I think it's the way to go and no listing fees to worry about!

He's fantastic!!  Congratulations Wendy bear_original  I really love his face  bear_wub

jumperringdetail.jpgkeyringhorse2.jpgI have finally completed the mini horse!  I used the method of inserting a cotterpin joint into the back, and having just the "eye" of the pin protruding on the outside to which I attached a jumper ring.  To reinforce that area for strength I glued a small square of ultrasuede on the inside of the horse.  It worked really well and was super easy!  Ming, I hope the pictures can give you an idea of how it works.

He's wonderful!!  You did such a great job.  I have a 5 year old cockatiel, although my Mum now looks after him as he was too noisy  bear_tongue

Cat Gabriel

Thank you! bear_original  Andrea, if you ever want to organise a swap let me know.  Officially I have closed commissions/swaps now but I could make an exception  bear_tongue

Cat Gabriel

Thanks everyone  bear_original   i really like this little one, it's hard to give them up sometimes!

Cat Gabriel

He's wonderful Kim!  Really great job

pinkswapbear2.jpgAnd here is another swap bear I made, unamed at the moment.  She stands at 2 inches tall.  I don't think I've ever made a bear in this colour before, turned out sweet I think.

Cat Gabriel

bear4cert.jpgThis is Millie, a bear I made for a swap bear_original  She is 2 inches tall.

Cat Gabriel

Thanks so much Marijke, that is wonderful!!  I would never have thought of doing that.  That sounds like the best way I think, a lot more sturdy than sewing in a loop of some kind.   bear_flower

Cat Gabriel

Thanks so much everyone for your advice.  I've been stressing about this a bit as I said I would do it, and then thought afterwards "oh, how am I going to do it??"  I do have some leather cord I think, so maybe that might be an option...I'll see how I go.
