Wendy: beautiful pictures. I too am amazed at the birds are just out there flying around wild! And it looks warm too....here in Minnesota, it is in the 30's right now, going to get in the twenties later tonight....

Tracy: It is such good news that your children are doing better today. What a good idea to make bears from something of their grandfather.
Your heart breaks when you see your children hurting. It must be hard for you too. Take care of yourself Tracy.

Matilda: you lucky duck you....to have those wonderful birds in your back yard. That would be exciting to wake up to.
Patty: holy cow, that is a view..... I think it would be neat to have wild turkeys. I had one in my back yard not too long ago and I was amazed at how big they are!! That big boy ran very fast too with a thump, thump, thump with his feet....
Now for squirrels....well, as common as they are (they can't help it), I place food out for them every winter. In fact I just started doing it so they don't go hungry....
Brenda: you are a good soul to save that baby squirrels life....I bet he is doing well....

Dear Tracy: I am so sorry to hear about the loss you and your children are going through....all the behaviors you described is normal. They will cry and it is o.k. Encourage them to talk about their grandpa and remember stories and times they spent with him. This is part of the grieving process. I strongly recommend you contact their school guidance counselor and get their advice as well. They are a great resource when a parent is wondering what to do. They probably have reading materials for parents when helping their children deal with the death of a family member.
Another idea is to contact your heath insurance company. Most of the big companies have educational materials they can send you to give you ideas on how to help your children and family through this tough time. These are wonderful resources. If you are having trouble getting information to help your kids, let me know and I can send you the information.
Many prayers for you and your children

Dear Shantell: It is heartbreaking news for you beloved kitty.. . I agree with Tracy, If you can't catch the cat, perhaps your vet can help with antibiotics. Or maybe call your local ASPCA. They may have ideas to help him.....many prayers for you and your kitty. St. Francis of Assisi is the patron saint for animals....he will watch over him...

Wendy---you are too funny!!!! But, I have always wanted to sew a panda that looked real...So I will ride on your coat tails and if somebody can direct you to a good pattern, I may want to make one too.....

Well Aleta, join the club.....It took me over two months to figure out how to post pictures, $175 to get photoshop and lessons to use it....let's see what else? Well....the list goes on and on....Don't feel bad, you have talent in making bears, others have talents with computers. When it is late at night, you can snuggle with a bear, the computer people, well....
Michelle
Congratulations Edie: your bears are adorable...such wonderful expressions...
Michelle
Dear Christine: I hope you feel better soon. Let's hope your hearing returns...many prayers for you....

Love the mouse and cat picuture....
Krista: recueing animals is a wonderful thing to do....kudo's to you for giving a homeless being a good home. The pictures are so cute....
Michelle
Jodi: This is very kind of you. My suggestion is ears on minis!!! How to get the perfect cup of the ear, placing and stitching them on so they are even, not to far back or front, lopsided.
Michelle
Dear Marie: I am so sorry to hear your mother passed away. There is nothing I can say that will ease the pain you must be going through. All I know is that surrounding yourself with family and friends and the things you love can help with coping.
I love the idea of making the memory bear that others suggested. I had mink teddy bears made from my grandmothers coat (I did not know how to sew mink back then). There was enough for three. One was given to my father (since it was his mother), one to my mother and I kept the other for myself.
Many bear hugs to you Marie
Michelle
Tami: I just love this picuture. I find I pass them on to my father to brighten his day. Keep psoting them....
Michelle
Bonnie: You are good soul!!! I believe animals in trouble somehow find those who they know can help them. I can't tell you how many cats, dogs bird, rabbits....land at my back door....but I think they are drawn to who they know will love and take care of them...
I am thrilled you are going to get him fixed and have shots. If there are wild animals out there, bring him inside. It would be awful to have him eaten by coyotes.

Well it may not sound good but it really is delicious:
Beef Brisket Recipe
Preheat oven at 325 degrees.
1 can of coke
1 jar of Heinz Chili Sauce
1 pkg Lipton Onion soup (dry)
1 ½ lb of beef brisket
Mix three ingredients together and pour over beef brisket. Put in heavy pot with cover. Cook slowly for 3-4 hours or until it shreds with knife and fork. Place shredded pieces back in sauce.
Serve over buttered egg noodles.
Another recipe that is always a hit and always requested is:
Banana Cream Pie
-1 Pre-made piecrust – i.e. Graham Cracker or Shortbread Cookie (found in baking section of grocery store)
-1 pkg of instant banana cream pudding
-1 ½ cups of cold milk
-1 pkg of cream cheese (room temperature)
-2 cups of powdered sugar
-1 banana
-1 Cup of cream and enough powered sugar to taste
With electric mixer -beat cream cheese and 2 cups of powdered sugar together until smooth. Spread mixture on bottom of piecrust. With electric mixer, beat milk and instant pudding together for 2-3 minutes (until it thickens). Slice fresh banana on top of the cream cheese layer. Pour pudding on top of bananas.
beat the cream with enough powdered sugar to taste until it is whipped cream. I use about four tablespoons. Spread on top of pie. Put in refrigerator for about ½ before eating. You could slice fresh bananas on top of sliced pie just before serving.
Well knock me over with a feather.....So many wonderful ideas. Sarah Jane, Roberta, I do believe you have been doing this for a while.....none of them ever occurred to me to do that....I will practice with my kitty....that is the last thing I have to do to finish her....
Roberta: I hope you are feeling better....take care of yourself....
Bear hugs

My 75 year old father sent this joke to me this and I thought some of you would enjoy this:
An 80-year old man goes for a physical. All of his tests came back
with normal results. The doctor says, "Chuck, everything looks great.
How are you doing mentally and emotionally? Are you at peace with
God?"
Chuck replies, "God and I are tight. He knows I have poor eyesight,
so
he's fixed it so when I get up in the middle of the night to go to
the
bathroom, POOF! the light goes on. When I'm done, POOF! the light goes
off. "
"WOW, That's incredible" the doctor says.
A little later in the day, the doctor calls Chuck's wife. "Ethel," he
says, "George is doing fine! But I had to call you as I am in awe of
his relationship with God. Is it true that he gets up during the
night
and POOF! the light goes on in the bathroom, and when he's done POOF!
the light goes off?
"Oh my God!" Ethel exclaims, "he's peeing in the refrigerator again!
Cute picture. And it looks like an inspiration for creating stories and critters too!
