thanks Karen! i ha dheard that about tea also..Sandi Rexford sent me a link to the rit dye site that talks about overdying and what colors cover what..the cool aid i was advised could attract insects maybe in the future? i have seen some awesome antique looking bears and love the over dyed look!  deb

just wondered if anyone had any tips about over dying mohair..i have some odd colors muted that id like to make more vintage looking..how do you decide what colors to try? id coffee or tea better ? or do you do a real like brown dye? any help at all would be terrific!  thanks deb

hmmm.the year my mother gave me 3 of those glasses you used to get when you bought gas..and two USED candles rolled in tinfoil. not a money issue by the way..thats just the way she is! the year i was going thru a divorce (i was 39) and just bummed about my life ..she gave me a tin of catfood and a birthday cake topper with an old man in a hammock..???? NOW its funny..not so much then!  deb :crackup:

yes Kelly  that was  beautiful story! and i can datemyself and say i remeber the easy bake oven and my brother did indeed get the creepy crawlers! my babay sister got the other items years later..but my favorite gift came fomr the great aunt who raised us..i know now she didnt have much money..but she bought me my first ice skates! i had them on my feet until i grew out of them! i  used to pretendi was one of those beautiful skaters on TV ( and our tv was in a little cabinet with what a 9 inch screen?) thanks for the memory!  deb

i would read a cereal box if nothing else was available!  Fantasy is my favorite! Anne Mcaffrey is my favorite author! I enjoyed the golden compass series and adored Harry Potter! read lots of different kinds of books and im an addict about magazines! the more dragons and wizards and witches the better,,,as far as Horror..NOT my fav genre butg if i have to read it Anne Rice is amazing! i agree she is stangely religious and i could havetold you she lost a child without knowing that..just from the theme in the books! beaiutiful and horrifying images at the same time! deb

Kathleen dont give up! i have tons of photo programs and didnt think i was ever going to "get" it and then by just playing around with them i finally did!  lots more to learn but im having h so much fun! ( not so much before tho!..it can be frustrating at first! )  deb

hes terrific! i have these  roundish gourds in my kitchen with really long straight necks..and i wondered about making dolls out of them..are the gourds fragile? tell us more!  deb

so far Terry and Ihave avoided all the Christmas shopping rush and still made several short trips into town..we went to Staples and Radio Shack at about 2pm and bought what we wanted and went home! i hadn't ever heard of an Ipod shuffle until my daughter in law asked for one..boy ar e hey CUTE! dear Santa....will haveto venture somewhere bigger at least once..love Church Street in Burlington with all the lights!  but thats usually just for fun..we're back to work today  Daphne ..after 4 whole days off...i dont wanna be a "normal" people today..want to go back to sleep! auugh..deb
