I had been planning for quite some time to make myself a Leonberger in honor of my dear Sienna that I lost to bone cancer in May.
I worked quite awhile on this but decided not to keep this one for myself. I originally planned on using some of Sienna's actual fur but couldn't figure out how to actually do it. But after reading posts here I now know how I'll do it. Plus I'd like to do more alterations and tweaking of the design as I am not really satisfied. So as I plan on making myself another one I decided to see if I can sell this one. I decided to give ebay another try. I haven't listed anything there for a year.

Hi everyone! I haven't had much time to get on here lately but when I do I am seeing a lot of wonderful and amazing creations!
I just listed Fallon the Fox on BearPile. He is made from white mohair that I hand dyed to get the marvelous red/orange of a red fox.
Foxes are one of my favorite animals and I worked hard to get this fellow right. Hope you like him!

Alison that is brilliant! I am working on making myself a memorial Leonberger dog of my dog Sienna that I lost to bone cancer in May. Before she was gone I cut big locks of her fur with the intent on using it in the dog I intended on making. I had nearly given up on the idea as I couldn't figure out how to attach the real hair into the mohair. You have just made my day!!!! Your tip of weaving the hair in should work perfectly. Yes it will be time consuming but this is a real labor of love so it will be well worth the time it takes. Thank you!!!
