Sandi?????Are you out there?

Yep I am here....and I will post the bear when she's finished. I fished her out the bin and right
at this moment she's sitting on a chair with a felting needle sticking in her head!

I must add, it may take a few days before she makes it to the parade, as I am just not in the right frame of mind to finish her right now.

You know the old saying "when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping"...that's exactly what I am going to do on Wednesday...all day.  I've just got to get out of this place for a breather.

If there are any artists or hobbyists from Oz or New Zealand still wanting to take part in the TBACA  Online Show in September, could you please enrol before 1st June.

http://www.teddybearsandcritters.com/abouttbaca.htm

This is our cut off date to appear in this show, as we have advertising to prepare by 1st July.

Membership applications will close on 30th June.

Affiliate Members will be among the first to be invited, should the next show become an International event.

Many thanks to all those who have shown their support for this venture.

Great idea, but I think I might just chuck mine in the bin!!!

bearlysane

Please stop by and leave a message in her guestbook...

...it's taken me nearly a year to get her to take the plunge.

My bears range between 7 and 24 inches but I am a hand sewer too. I can use a sewing machine and do for the clothes...but I love the relaxation of hand sewing and like Joanne, I too feel I have better control over the seams.

I also like that I can take my sewing where ever I go, bit like knitting...you can't take a machine on the bus or train or in the car when hubby's driving.

From everthing I have read Samantha, this is going to be one hell of a show...congratulations on a truly wonderful effort.

I fully understand all the work that goes into producing a show and I regret not being there to see the final results.

I wish you all the success in the world and don't worry about attendance, I'm sure you will be inundated with collectors from all over the UK.  bear_thumb

Actually it's a little sad when you think about it...look what the kids of today are missing out on.

I often wonder, with all the sterile environment they are growing up in, how their immune systems are going to cope.

Certainly brought back some memories reading this post.

Growing up with horses, getting covered in fleas from the stables and having to strip bare and take a shower before coming into the house is one of my fondest memories of my childhood...I loved riding on the weekends...even when I got thrown going over the old lava rock wall surrounding the paddock!

Those were the days! SIGH!

I know my age is showing.

I'm proud of it!

His-Look-of-Love.jpg
I just received a whole bunch of photos from a friend who's daughter recently married and I think this one depicts the "look of love" more than any I have seen.

Just look at his face.

 Never again! Working to someone else's specs and deadlines is the pits,
no matter what field you're in! Takes all the fun out of creating.

bearlysane

I think that's wonderful of Maureen...I was lucky enough to win one of her paintings last year at Woodend and it's just beautiful!

bearlysane

Great pictures Gemma (all bar one).

I really enjoyed our day out, chatting and shopping and lunching and chatting...boy did we chat!

When's your next visit?

bearlysane

     Oh I needed a good laugh today...thanks Sandra!

Men really are stupid at times...this one it seems, many times. Bad enough he does that to himself, but to tell the world he's that stupid...BOY!

Had to wipe the tears away!!!

Welcome to Marlys our first Affiliate Member!

Thanks Chris.

Anyone one receiving Australian Bear Creations...keep an eye out for TBACA in the July and September editions!

Brenda,

I have sent Penny several emails over the past month or so and not a word. Haven't received a reply since the 5th March.
Maybe she is taking a well earned break, or just preoccupied with family matters and would prefer not to be disturbed.

I'm sure she will be in touch when she's ready, just as I am sure she knows how much we all think of her.

bearlysane

We have had some enquiries from some overseas artists and we have decided to add a page for Affiliate Membership as well as Patrons and Honorary Membership. If you are interested please scroll to the bottom of this page
http://www.teddybearsandcritters.com/abouttbaca.htm to view the details.

Full Membership applications will re-open 1st May.

The 1st lot of galleries are complete and I am really looking forward to our first online show in September.

bearlysane

Congratulations on your nominations Lisa!

I just wanted to apologise to all those lovely people who have been adding me as a friend on Facebook.

I didn't want you to think I was being rude or refusing your friendship,
but I find Facebook is just another distraction I just don't have time for.

I hardly even have time to come here these days, 'cept maybe to post a bear.
Please don't think I have forgotten you, I will pop in from time to time to say hello, just not as often.

HELLO EVERYONE!

Finally finished all the initial galleries.

bearlysane

Had a great time with Gemma today...shopped and lunched...didn't buy any mohair, but Gemma got some great faux fur and we talked and talked and talked!!!

We now have a total of eight galleries up.
As soon as the final few are up we will be opening up membership again.

bearlysane

Four galleries are up...now I'm going to bed as I have to be up bright and early to take Gemma MOHAIR SHOPPING!!!

bearlysane

Thanks to you all it's coming along nicely ... more banners added today!

bearlysane

Hi girls ... membership applications are temporarily on hold ... at least until I get the first wave of applicants galleries ready for viewing.

Those that have received acceptance emails already are all included in the first wave.

bearlysane

Thank you girls for such an overwhelming response...I haven't stopped all day.

I can see we will be reaching a cut of point shortly.
Please bear with me ('scuse the pun) if you don't hear anything out of me tomorrow day, I will get back to you in the evening.
I think I am going to be very busy for the next week or two.

Thanks again to all the girls from downunder and to all those that have taken the time to take a peek!

bearlysane

After 24 hours no sleep, I am pleased to say the new Australasian website is now up and running.

http://www.teddybearsandcritters.com

I was extremely pleased with the initial response.

Galleries will be added over the next few weeks and when I get a better idea of all our local show dates,
we will be announcing the online show date!

Thanks to everyone for your enthusiasm!

Now I'm going to get some shut eye!!!
