Clare your post reminds me of when my oldest was about 3 years old and they were allowed to have their car seat in the front, I was driving down the road with him in his car seat and a car, all of a sudden turned in front of me and I had to slam on my breaks, then my little angelic son shouts "Sh*t Head!!" . Well needless to say from that day forward I put my aggressive driving in check.  That was not one of my proudest moments, up until that point I didn't think I was an aggressive driver.  Now I can look back and laugh at it. :crackup:

I think Jordan will go all the way, she is such a doll and that voice, oh my, I was sad to see Melinda go, I love her voice.  I could be wrong about Jordan I was last year with Chris, I thought he had it all locked up. I LOVED him.

I think the thing I liked most about ebay was the choices, those that want private auctions could have them and others could choose not to have them, if you go to the link on a post I did before there are people on there that have said the numbers dropped like a rock when the new system started and are only getting worse. Just as some collectors want to keep their ID secret, there are many that want to know the bidding history.

I just think there are safegards that could be put in place to protect the ebay community without forcing us to sell using the hidden bidding system.

Heck I know as a bidder, I no longer enjoy bidding on ebay and for me money wise it's helped, less money spent on there which my husband loves the new system, he's the CFO at his company, so in honor of him, I will use a math setup

Jenny here's an article I found about the new search system that might explain your problem:
" Changes Coming To eBay's Search

Earlier this week eBay announced the first of many changes to come to eBay's venerable search engine. eBay now allows bidders to search for results by category.

This is a nice move and will help buyers refine their searches to make them more relative, however it may slightly hurt sellers, as items of similar interest, but from a different category, may not show up.  This could ultimately benefit eBay by incentivising more sellers to use List in Two Categories which earns additional fees for eBay.

This is only the first change however. eBay has been beta testing a major overhaul of its search engine for several months. I tried to get in on the test but was refused. I have spoken to a couple of sellers who are in the beta and they are keeping eBay confidence and won't reveal any details. So far the feedback is mostly positive --but mixed. Hopefully eBay will really get all the bugs out before rolling it out across the entire user base. "

I thought I would post this question, because I am guessing a lot of you, most likely enjoy what I enjoy doing, and that is flea marketing, I also love going to big church/community rummage sales, goodwill stores and antique malls.

I love going out on a saturday to small little towns to comb their local antique mall or shops.  I love seeing what great things I can find, even if I don't buy anything, I always enjoy strolling down memory lane looking at all the things from my childhood .

The coolest thing I have ever found is a signed picture of Alan Rickman.

It was at a womans club book sale, they had organized a fund raiser and asked different movie stars to send signed pictures to be auctioned off and they had several that didn't get to them in time for the auction.  So they were selling them for 3 dollars a piece. Well I LOVE Alan Rickman , my favorite all time movie is Sense and Sensibility and of course I LOVE Harry Potter so I was pretty excited to find this.

Hi Louise, you are a sweetheart, , I am just excited to see what someone comes up with by using this. I thought it was adorable, but I just don't make the kind of bears that I think this dress deserves. I can tell it was made with love and I bet it will look great on it's new owners bear.

I know I couldn't believe it when I saw it , it looks hand made and so sweet. I couldn't  pass it up,  I figure after 2 years , if I haven't used it yet, I am never going to. And like I said, I kept seeing it in my workroom,  reminding me I haven't used it, which completely bugged me.

  I run so hot and cold on making bears, sometimes I see a fur and buy it and rush home and finish a bear in a night, then other times I will buy fur and it just sits, I have fur I have never used that dates back to when I first started making bears. I am a serious pack rat and I will be thrilled to see this put to good use.

Dorothy, I love to yak when I am avoiding work which is almost every day,  just PM me and I can keep you company while you help me avoid work

I am so excited , because this thing has been driving me crazy, for the past 2 years I keep seeing it and thinking "man I have got to use this" but then I never do and I feel guilty, but this way I can see someone else have fun with it.
it looks like the size that would fit a newborn, so I think it would be perfect for a bear.

Ok I bought this christening gown about 2 years ago at a church rummage sale for 50 cents and I have never used it, I keep thinking about getting rid of it ,but the pack rat in me won't allow it.

So I thought it would be kind of fun to raffle it off on here, it will be of course no cost to you, I will even cover the shipping, which I will just put it in a big envelope and send it on the cheap.

It is really pretty and in great shape, on the picture it looks like there is a pink spot on it, nope that is just my camara messing up. If you are interested in doing this just post your name and I will copy them and put them in a box and draw one out, lets say, this Sunday I will announce the winner.

The only thing I ask, is that when you make a bear and use it, you post a picture , because I know someone can really do something fun with it.

Ellen I completely agree, I think the private bidder system should be an option for those that want to use it, I liked that it was there for some sellers, I guess I am just worked up that the way it was before , I LOVED, and they then took my choices away , this is not the ebay I signed up for and it is hurting some.

There is one talented artist who I absolutely LOVE on ebay and her sales have gone way down and I talked to her on the phone a couple days ago and she is so disheartened she is thinking of leaving bearmaking behind.  She keeps doubting herself, questioning her talent which is so not the case.  She is one of the most talented bearmakers I have ever seen. I am trying to get her to give the Toy Shoppe a try. 

I know for me I can stop making bears tomorrow if I wanted and it wouldn't hurt my family, money wise, I would just lose "fun money" but for some, this is their familys main income or a very big part of it and if this new system has hurt the numbers on ebay, it is hurting those artists the most and that is really sad.
