For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
So I'm just verifying this...
Intercal is allowing .jpg uploads to an Intercal webhost, so people can use a digital picture -- rather than supply their own hosting and URL -- for their avatar...?
But for images people want to insert directly into their postings, they will have to use the html <img> tags and then insert the URL for their own hosted photos...?
Thanks.
Yes. This is correct.
Hi all...I'm really really new to this stuff. wonder if someone can tell me how to add a photo to my profile????Not sure if I'm even asking the right question. Gather it has something to do with "Avtar" which I cannot seem to find...sometimes I feel really really old...Love this site... I know i've met some of you guys...but the ole memory banks aren't so great.
hugs Gail
Okay...I guess if you stay up long enough and read all the fine print you can figure out just about anything. I did...and so I don't need my question answered about photo's and avtar and uploading and all that other 'puter stuff... When I finally did figure it out then I had to make a decision...what to upload? Finally made my choice. It's not a bear as you can plainly see..least I hope you can...Foxlie was my respite from bear making like Sue Anne and her magnificant chickens...oh how I envy her talent.. Cheers and Hugs...Gail
Gail, glad you found your answers! Your foxy "Foxlie" avatar is darling. Welcome!
Gail . . . the fox is wonderful and I'm glad you gave all of us a chance to see it!! And thanks much for your very nice compliment . . . you are very generous! Isn't it great to be able to figure out other designs besides just bears? Seems as if most of my best ideas comes while I'm trying to get some much-needed sleep
but that's okay. I'll sacrifice sleep to be able to think up new designs!
Hi Sue Ann we met at the Aiken Show a couple of years ago. That was the first time I "laid" eyes:lol: on your great chickens...actually it was a magnificant rooster. I didn't get the nerve to 'branch out' until one of my favorite customers who is a wonderful wildlife artist, asked me if I could produce a fox patterned after one of her paintings.
Foxlie was the result. Actually this one is my third...who knows I may get into foxes as you have with chickens
PS...I designed the little jockey in the green and yellow silks for the auction.
Thanks for the kind words from both you and Shelli... I'm enjoying the forum

Hi Guys and gals,
Am new to the board and when I go to upload my avatar, I click on upload and it says 'done' immediately, but it's not uploading. It's only 37KB and less than the maximum size so don't know what's happening. The address on the avatar is http://www.justusbears.com/Avatar.gif if anyone can help.
Hayley
Hi Gail
So now there are two of us with the same name and spelling. I am from Ontario and I believe we met at a TBOV show. Welcome to the list- it is a great place to be. So much sharing and support here
Hugs
Gail ( Loonie )- appropriate for a Canadian eh!!!!
Hayley, I can see your avatar... so I'm assuming you got this all figured out...? Let me know if I'm somehow misunderstanding what you're saying.
Hmmm...yep, it's there now...maybe one of the techo guys fixed it for me. I think probably what happened is that I didn't use the 'browse' button..I just typed my avatar address into the window and clicked upload..and it didn't like that. Temperamental beasties these computers!:P
