Another trick is to hold what you are working on in front of a mirror. That'll show you what's crooked or needs more trimming too!
Pictures and mirrors can bring out the worst!
And the best!
I do the mirror trick also. It really works. It catches what the eye does not see.
So far so good, he he he!
I look forward to see the next pictures!
I think this bear is going to be fantabulous!
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
Okay so here is last nights progress 30 coats of nose varnish and some additional scissor sculpting
Hugs,
Krista
Looks fantastic!
I often hold a bears's head upside down - which shows up anything thats not symmetrical.
Keep posting pictures - I'm really enjoying watching this come together!!!
So I do believe his face is done, so this is all you get until he is complete...hopefully later on today!!! once again, the pictures are the pits, but it will just make the finished product all that much better!!!
Hugs,
krista
Wow, what beautiful eye! So realistic too! He kinda looks like a darling puppy.
Super adorable. So nice to see this bear coming together
Wow, 30 coats of varnish. What do you varnish with if it's not to forward of me to inquire?
Can't wait to see the finished bear
hi Shari, not a problem, super sheen clear gloss nail polish!!! I know technically not correct, but it works for me!!!
Hugs,
Krista
Oh, thanks , I never thought of using clear nail polish. Do you let each layer dry in between?
oh yeah!! If you don't let it dry between then it gets tacky and you can get uneven bumps in the nose...I started this nose last evening at 7 and finished the last of the coats this morning...the polish I use Sally Hansen Mega Shine extended wear dries pretty quickly, usually I leave 10-15 minutes between coats.
Hugs,
Krista
Great info Krista, thanks for sharing
No problemo!!!

What a fantastic head you are working on....such a difference from the first piccys. He's going to be quite the attraction. i believe. Beautiful eyes and nose. Good idea on the Sally Hansen too....every peewilly little grocery store or drug store has Salley Hansen.
Looking forward to the finished bear....
