You're correct, Lyn . . . my pic is photoshopped.  But your example, I discovered, is another digitally changed owl, also.  When I researched the true Madagascar owl, I learned that it's in the barn owl family and has no tufted ears.  This what it's supposed to look like.  Thanks for calling my attention to the error.  Next time I'll research BEFORE posting a pic.
