Hi everyone - I'd like you all to meet Li Wei, my newest imperial Chinese panda: her Chinese name means 'beautiful rose'.
She's decorated with the results of my latest discovery - beautiful hand-crafted ribbon roses, which I've learned to make recently!
Hope you all like her: thanks for taking a peek!
Hugs,
Marg
Just beautiful - your attention to detail is amazing! I love both of these
Hugs,
Marg
Wow! They're both amazing, but I'm really taken with Elodie ... she's just gorgeous! (and it's probably also because I have a cousin with the same name LOL!!!)
Hugs,
Marg
Hi everyone - I'd like you all to meet Sunnie, my brand-new sunflower baby bear cub. With spring just around the corner here in Australia, I thought it was about time to brighten things up a little - with a new bear and the largest sunflower I could find!
Sunnie is available now on my website, and there's also lots more pictures!
Hope you like him, and thanks for taking a peek!
Hugs,
Marg
The first thing I noticed was his eyes - gorgeous! Such a beautiful little boy Jenny!

Marg

Hi Everyone!
I haven't been around much lately - I've had a bit of a roller coaster life over the last few weeks, including losing my mum to a short illness last week
I'm trying very hard to be brave (it's early days yet) but I'm sure mum would want us to carry on as best we can: so, taking a deep breath, I'd like you all to know I now have a new website. It's taken me a while to build, but a totally new look for me and my bears: I'd love for you all to drop by and take a look - there's plenty of pages including a gallery of past work, a link to my blog and much more. I'd love to get your feedback - I hope you love the new direction I'm taking with my bears, and the website is a good start I think
You might note that I now have a .com.au address and here's the link http://www.nikkelbears.com.au
Hi everyone!
I've been missing for a while now - I've had a bit of a roller coaster life over the last few weeks with lots of things happening in my life at the moment so haven't been here for a while, including losing my mum last week after a short illness
I've also been building a new website which I have just launched. However, I wanted to introduce you all to my newest little bear cub called 'Benji' made from South African mohair - variegated taupe/brown colours with black guard hairs ... a very intriguing fabric! My custom hand-painted English glass eyes of course, and full needlefelted face with open mouth detail. I hope you like him - I'm lucky enough to say he's already been adopted!
Hugs,
Marg
We have the same exorbitant fees with Australia Post - I like to send my bears by International Express Post which offers insurance and tracking, particularly to o/s customers but it always ends up costing around AUD$65-$75 (depending on weight of bear). I know there are cheaper ways to send, but they are either lacking in insurance or tracking options - neither of which I would consider, and I always put myself in my collectors' shoes: I would prefer to pay the extra for peace of mind than lose a beloved bear
Hugs,
Marg
Thank you so much for sharing these Jane ... it's always a wonderful treat for those of us who can't be there, and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour!
Hugs,
Marg
Look for the girl with the stars in her eyes .... no, it's not The Beatles 'Lucy' ... it's my first bear for 2013 - a little girlie panda I have called Celeste.
Have a close look - she really does have twinkly silver stars in her big blue eyes!
Hope you like her - she's now available on Bear Pile.
Thanks for taking a peek!
Hugs,
Marg
Hi everyone! Well, it's been so long since I posted anything here, my life has been so busy this year .. although must admit I frequently find time to visit to read what everyone's been doing.
I'd like you all to meet Jasper - a little Christmas panda who's jetting his way to his new mumma in Canada as I write this
Hope you like him, and thanks for taking a peek!
Hugs,
Marg
Ship's Ahoy everyone!
Captain Aramis Rex is very proud to have won 3rd place in his category in this year's URSA awards - congratulations to all winners and especially to Krista for her overall win!
Well done everyone!
Hugs,
Marg
Very, very sweet: this little one is gorgeous! It's always a treat to see your new pieces!

Can't wait to see more of your work

Hi everyone.
I haven't been posting a lot here lately, although I've been dropping by from time to time to catch up with you all - I've been very busy with custom orders and am in the middle of 2 wedding bears for my daughter and soon-to-be son-in-law - we've been knee-deep in wedding plans and making invitations, so that hasn't left a lot of time for bear making I'm afraid
I'd love to introduce you all to Maxie though - he's a cute bundle of fluff I made exclusively for the Taiwan Olympic Bear Challenge. He represents the Australian Mens' Hockey Team - the Kookaburras. He didn't win a medal in the challenge unfortunately, but he did win his new mumma's heart pretty quickly!!!
Hope you like him: thanks for taking a peek.
Hugs,
Marg
Hi everyone! I'd like you all to meet BAO LIN - he's the latest in my Imperial Panda series (AND my first needlefelted face!!), and he's now available on Bear Pile.
What do you think of his little black plait????
I hope you like him: thanks for taking a peek!
Hugs,
Marg :)
