Thanks so much, I have a better understanding of the gusset and also learned about the library function
Wonderful, thanks so much for the help!
I'm trying to design my own bears, and I have some questions on how to design a gusset.
1. question: How do you find out how long the gusset has to be? Do you measure the headpieces from nose to neck?
2. question: this is probably a tricky one and I'll probably just have to try my way here, but if I want a "pudgy" face, or a round face, do I work with the curves on the side of the gusset?
I understand that one has to try and fail and try again to learn, but any tips you may have for a beginner will be greatly appreciated
Thanks so much It's so nice that my little bear got some love from you
Since many of you have needle felted features on your bears, I thought I would give it a try.
I have some needle felting equipment, but as it turns out I just don't have the patience for it, and I'm also allergic to the wool
I felted around his eyes, made paws on his legs, and I made a muzzle.
Although I don't think he's quite finished, I'm very proud of myself.
how adorable! I didn't see it was crocheted, I've crocheted for a while and that kind of yarn is really difficult to work with, great job on her! the muzzle is so cute, and I love the expression in her face
I love the eyes you use for your bears, they really bring them to life
If I had any money at all, I'd love to buy one of your bears.
He is gorgeous, love the necklace, the nose eyes and muzzle
Thanks for kind comments :)
I'm working on my 4th bear right now
Hopefully I'll get better as time goes
And it's a bought pattern, so I feel silly showing off this fella.
This is what a budget bear looks like
Any tips on how to make him stand out a little more are welcomed. I'm giving him away for mothers day. It's on February 10th here in Norway.
I have to admit, he is my third bear, and he's alot smaller than the ones I made earlier.
Thanks so much, you guys!
I had an e-mail from Abracadabra to say that all the bears got adopted in less than 24 hours - wow!!!!
Miyu - there is a bit of information about how I sculpt the muzzles on my blog.
Huggies,
Christine
Thanks, I'll definitively have a look at that
you are so talented! I visited your website as well, and was blown away, I love your work. I hope I can get half as good as you
Gorgeous. I have always liked pandas
How on earth does one sculpt muzzles? I never even thought that was possible.
And the bears are gorgeous!
truly masterpieces
Sebastian is exactly what I want to be making, do you make your own patterns? I hope I'm allowed to ask that I'm new to the forum, so please excuse me.
They are stunning. It always amazes me the things people can create.
Good job!
