I messaged Tina but she hadn't a clue either.  Perhaps he's not Danish after all!

Gemma82

I'm still having no luck finding out who the artist is, someone must be able to help me!  I e-mailed the shop we bought him from and they've not bothered to reply :(.

Gemma82

Cheers guys, no luck here yet either :(.

Gemma82

I've just posted this over on Facebook but am asking here as well.

I got this little guy for my birthday.  The shop I bought him from said he was by a Danish artist but couldn't find any info and none of these bears had tags. Does anyone know who made him?

Completely in love with Silver, I saw her on facebook, you are a lucky guy!  So how many bears do you have all together now and where do you keep them?  I'm always interested in where people keep their collections as I live in a small house with 4 cats so it's hard displaying them nicely and safely.

I got a bear for Christmas, here is Figgy Pudding:

I collect all sorts of dolls, some expensive and some not so.  I tend to go for ones with character rather than pretty pretty ones.

Gemma82

Enchantmentsart  - I LOVE that guy!  Labyrinth is my favourite film and he is amazing and perfect!

Gemma82

Cheers guys.  Sometimes it's very hard to overlook something that hurts so badly so it's easier just to leave.  I still love my bear collection and dolls - that will never change!

Gemma82

Since being upset by someone here, I stopped posting and just catch up with the artists I like on Facebook.  There you can just block someone if you don't like them lol.

We do have film of the Thylacine and there are plenty of photographic records. In this day and age I don't see any reason for the so called "scientific" purposes of taxidermy, we can learn so much more from the non-lethal and minimally invasive means of investigation available. As for going out and hunting an animal and then hanging it's remains on your wall, I can't think of anything more pointless or repugnant!

^ Yeah that.  bear_thumb

There's Hamleys which has steiff and other manufactured bears plus artist bears.  It was a shock to see bears double the price I paid for one directly from the artist though!

Gemma82

Which age range do you fall into?
20-30

Gender
female

Which country are you from?
UK

Are you...?
Long term ill :(

Are you...? (please state all that are relevant)
A collector.

If you're an artist or dealer, how many bears do you usually sell per year & how many have you sold in the last year (roughly speaking)?
N/A

If you're a collector, roughly how many bears (and other animals) do you buy each year?
Up to 6 but I buy Charlie Bears too which aren't as expensive.  It would be more but I'm also a doll collector.

If you collect artist bears, who are your favourite artists?
Hugs Unlimited, Joxy Bears, Desert Mountain Bears (Though yet to won one), Dusty Attic Bears (Am yet to own one of these too), Jac-q-lyn Bears, KJ Lyons (Yet to own one).

Has the recession affected the number of bears you've purchased in the last year or so?
Not really as have only been collecting for a couple of years and have to save up for the ones I want anyway.

How much would you pay for a well made artist miniature bear? (change to own currency if neccessary eg. less than $30 [US])
I've paid £89 for one but I'd probably not pay more than £100 unless it was really special.

Thinking of you all!!

Hi, I found this site when I was looking up three legged cats, perhaps you could ask for advice on their forum.

Each to their own, my only problem with this is that it's not very good!

Gemma82

Yep, I saw it and it's on 4od if anyone from the UK want to watch it.  I love her show, it was so nice to see someone making their own stuff - I'm kind of sick of all the commercialism myself!

Gemma82

Hi Jolene, I'm Jupeycat on Doll Chit Chat - the one that told you about the CB group on FB!  Great to see your collection is growing quickly :P, I'm afraid CBs are very addictive, I have 8 now but some people in the group have over 100!!  I love your photos, can I borrow you to take take photos of my bears and cats?!  You are an amazing photographer  bear_shocked !

Gemma82

Thanks guys.  I may try the hoover trick with the Christmas tree - put the hoover next to it switched on but off at the mains and when a cat goes for it, switch it on at the mains!  This is something I learned from a cat forum when Fable was scratching at the door all night.

Hehe, Marilyn, I do have a lot of "fun" sometimes and am now getting grey hairs which I blame on the cats.  I really will look like the crazy cat lady at this rate!

Gemma82

She didn't wear a cone when she came to me after her amputation but when she had her stitches out she did have an infection so that could have been down to her messing with them.

Yep, she nurses on my dressing gown or what's left of it...  I know she was taken away from her mum too early and I think part of the reason she likes my dressing gown is because when she first came in, she'd see me in it first thing on a morning  and last thing at night and she liked being cuddled.  Plus it's very soft or it was...

We've put those decorations on the end of the bed to see what the cats will do.  This year I'm having a real tree with orange peel for baubles to try to keep the cats away.  The girls keep trying to chew the lights but I'm going to get some citrus oil to put them off!  Our tree will be in our bedroom so it will be supervised at all times, I can't cope with finding my beautiful tree in tatters like previous years!

Those kitten will find homes and at least they're being cared for in the mean time.  They are all gorgeous and it's a good thing that I don't have them!

First of all, sorry to my Facebook friends who may have already been bombarded with Meg pictures, I can't help being a crazy cat lady!
Simpsonscrazycatlady.jpg

Meg was spayed a few weeks ago, it went fine but she had to wear an e collar for 10 days as she kept going for her stitches.  She was a pitiful sight with a lampshade on her head, shaved side and balance issues!
Captured2009-10-3000003.jpg

She's now back to normal and growing in confidence - going back into hospital made her a bit skittish and I don't blame her for feeling like that!

Captured2009-11-2200002.jpg

She likes to wear my clothes and is never far from my dressing gown which is now manky due to being suckled...  Please Santa, bring me a new one!

The Terrible Two have now become The Troublesome Trio - thankfully Fable stays out of their mischief unless there's biscuits involved!:
Captured2009-11-1900000.jpg

You can see that Jupey is doted on by his sisters even though he abuses them!  He's chomped half of Emmy's whiskers off on one side of her face!
