Thanks... the great thing about being a re-enactory type person is that so many people are the 'crafty' sort who think that small-ising their products is the cutest thing ever (which it is, of course xD ) every new piece of metalwork made for my bears makes me squeal with delight!  bear_grin

I can't help but feel that when all you bear makers look at my bears, you criticise the mass produced bears I use... apologies, please don't beat me!   bear_grin (all the more reason for me to cover them up with nice 'thentic clothes xD

Thanks for the welcome, this looks like a lovely home-made forum (you know, home made in a cute way, like home made jam or cake) with a great community  bear_grin

These bears are, er, slightly different to the ones usually found on here I think but I hope you like them! The patterns I make are made to look as much like the original period patterns as possible and they are all handsewn. I don't use synthetic fabrics or cotton if it is not period correct.

This C15th one is wearing a silk taffeta kirtle (underdress) lined in handkerchief silk. It's worn over a linen smock. When it's finished, her linen lined silk gown will go over the top!

And you can see her 'undies' here (smock and woollen hose)

This her 'hubby', wearing over his linen shirt a linen lined velvet doublet (unfinished..) and part lined woollen joined hose. The doublet will be buttoned up the front with small pewter buttons, and his silk pleated gown will fasten over it.

And... the first commissioned bear I made, a C10th Saxon bear. She wears an unlined woollen gown over a linen underdress, and a 'Coppergate' cap with a wimple over it, both in linen.

More pictures on my website (which isn't finished yet so please 'bear' with me...

OK, thanks for the tip!

Has been ages since I've joined a new forum, sorry for being daft!

Hullooooooo (:

Have just been browsing where I can advertise my goodies xD but I don't actually have anything for sale as such at the minute (I'm just working on commissions for the time being) so was wondering where I could put piccies up and such like? I've put my website up (: which isn't quite finished so comments welcome, but apart from that, where's the most suitable area of the forum to advertise my bears?

I hope I don't sound too pushy!
