Hi,
I know this post is a little bit older, but always worth a shot.
I used to order brilliant mini bear fabrics from sassy bears and fabrics. But I can now only seem to find her on E-bay (username sassybears). All I can remember was her name was Stephanie.
I'm picking up my hobby again after 7 years, so glad this site is still working.
Hope that helps you a bit.
Annette
I'm so glad E-bay helped you out, and thanks for the heads up, I read the bio of the seller and she basically buys stuff at auctions, estate sales etc, and bought the lot via that route, then you have no knowledge of whether or not the original owner was a heavy smoker. Just so glad everything turned out ok for you in the end. Defiantly a lesson learned for all
As for the fur coat, maybe the seller had a picture from the former seller, or took the photo staright away stored it badly for a long time before it sold and hey presto one very rotton coat. I would love to start making bears from real fur but after all this I'm not sure I would buy via ebay, I think I'lll go hunting in second hand shops and at least be able to feel it before
thanks for the warnings

I already saw her on the ebearz gallery, I was wondering what colour she was, thoght that it must of been the camera that made her white she is lovely

He's wonderful, love the wings and the antenna, if you don't mind me asking how did you do the wings???

Thanks for the sweet comments,
I love the fact that when you put time into taking a picture you can hide small imperfections. you can't tell that one larger leg is slightly longer then the other. I really understand now why you should first sew everything and then turn right way out. I have to thank Nancy tilburg for saying: be patient, and first sew everything then turn rightside out, on the bootcamp course.

I wish I would have looked earlier on this forum, I'd seen so many of the bootcamp bears on the ebearz site, but the pics are a lot larger here so I can see them all so much better. I find it so amusing that you can still recognize the artist in the bear even though everyone used the same pattern.
Julia your bear is lovely, and love the mohair pity you don't know where it originally came from.
Dinimm Your bear is so sweet, I love the hat and bow finishes her off quite nicely.
anyway here's how mine turned out
I don't think I have my own style yet, I'm thinking of giving her muzzle a trim.

Meet sun-Beam, she's my first attempt at a designing a bear. She's 5cm standing excluding the wings, and made from a light yellow micro-plush. I made he nose with metallic embroidery thread which wasn't easy to work with, so I don't think the nose is perfect.
She's already living with her new mum who absolutely adores her.
All comments are welcome

I am so glad he was disposed of to a loving new home and not into many homes He's lovely, It's great to see that the course is well worth it's money, I'm really going to think about it and I really need to finish off at uni. I'm procrastinating and bears are such a great and loveable distraction

I love his face, he looks like a sadish clown but still with a happy glint in his eyes. I'm sure he'll make someone very happy

Meet Marcel the bunny, He's been lying around in pieces until I bought his neck joint, which arrived so I finished him last night.
I thought he'd turn out being a girl seeings he's made in a pink microplush, but instead of being a she, she wanted to be a he.......
He's is 6,5 cm sitting and 8,5cm standing. I made him using the pattern of Darwin from Sassybears,
I gave him pretty blue eyes and used a little pompom for his tail
I hope you like him

If you want to make a meerkat I'd start by taking / finding loads of picture to inspire you, use these to get the proportions and shape of the meerkat.
For the fur try using a colour which matches the main colour of the meerkat fur and then add colour by using paints or Copic pens (build up the colour slowly with the paint you only need a tiny amount on the brush)
To get him to stand, try use bolt and locknut joints these can be tightend really firmly, should make him able to stand up.
Goodluck

I've finally finished my latest creation,
I must admit the pattern is not mine, I got it from teddy bear times (pattern of Lollipop) I tweaked it slightly.
He's made out of mohair which I dyed a lime green, He has safety joints and eyes a small ball of steel shot in his tummy, and is 20 cm tall standing. He's going to a friend as a present for her new born baby hence the stitching on his foot soles.
Hope you like him and any positive criticisms are always welcome.
The spotty one is the non tweaked pattern of Lollipop.

If dogs could only talk... it's great you have a little cute judge at home who helps you decide if your bear is up to scratch or not :P
