Well I'll be there...hope to find as many of you as I can!
I am a bit sneaky then! I use templates to design my ebay auction pages and because of that I can have my web address listed and it goes undetected! I once tried to put my web address in a normal listing and before I even got to list it I got a big warning at the bottom of the page saying that web links were not permitted etc etc!! I list on Oz ebay so I dont know if our rules are different but so far I havent had an auction pulled (and because its my own template I can have heaps of photos and I only pay for the gallery one!!)
How big is he, cos I have a real ostrich egg (empty) Id be happy to give you! Let me know if that would help, I can cut it for you too if you like.
They are fairly big though so it may not help!
Thank you all for the lovely comments..as you know we had pretty big shoes to fill and we wanted to do Danni proud as well as add a little bit of ourselves to it! Bronwen and I have never spoken and have put this zine together purely over the airwaves so to speak! I am very fortunate to have teamed up with someone like her or it may never have happened! Hope you all enjoy it and continue to support Bearwitched!
Ditto ditto - what a great bear!!
Oh she is so sweet. Like she'd be seen but not heard What a great failure!!! Wish mine looked like that after a battle
I totally agree Roxanne...bear makers are as lovely on the outside as they must be on the inside!!
Thank you all for the encouragment  My nan did love it, I gave it to her on Christmas day and Im told it will have a very prominent place in her house!!
Id like to do more fur bears but I need to rest my fingers. I found it SO hard to sew that I ended up machine sewing the body and limbs and hand sewing paws and the head. The leather was really thick which was a bit off putting but its turned out in the end! I just get so inspired by the beautiful fur bears I see hear that I want to do more!!
This little bear is my first attempt at real fur Boy is that hard work!!! I used an old fur of my late great Aunt and the bear was a gift for her sister (my dear Nan) I thought Id try my first one out on a reli so they would have to love it!!
Her name is Violet (after my Aunt Viola), she is around 10" tall and her paw pads are the 'skin' with the fur shaved off.She is posing with a metal christmas sleigh in front of my christmas tree and has some gold ribbon and baubles around her neck.
I love the look of real fur and Im in awe of some of the creations Ive seen so while I know I have a LONG way to go - I dont thinks she's too bad!
I had a look at the dollware site and the program appears to be specifically for making doll clothes. I think she's looking for a program that will show her how to design her own bears - and if there are free programs around.
You cant beat a yummy merlot - but the bubbly was just tasting toooo good...hic!
They are great! What sweet little faces!
Bearwitched is great Danni - congrats
I cant wait for the next edition
That is a great table! I havent ventured into doing shows yet either - frankly the thought terrifies me.......Id be devastated if I had to take my bears home again!!!
He is fantastic. You have put so much expression into his dear little face...and those paws!!! What can I say - Im green with envy!!
Just had to jump into this conversation....there is nothing better than really fresh white bread, buttered with a reasonable amount of Vegimite.. not too much, just enough LOL. YUMMO!!!
Thank you all for the great comments......he is 4cms tall (or should that be small!) or 1.5". He is from a kit - as my other attempts from my own pattern have never worked. The trick seems to be getting thepeices exactly the same once cut - it sounds logical but even the slightes variation between peices makes a difference. Also using a needle so small I can barely thread it helps with the teeny stitches - it came with the kit, Ive never seen one so small and thin!!! Im hooked now - I have a panda kit on the way and once he's finished I want to desighn my own to sell (these two will be mine!!)
and Hayley....you're not the first to say 'insane' most people ask 'why'....why would you possible want to torture yourself with a bear so small...why??? LOL
This is Leo....he is a bear who thinks he's a rock star!!! His fur was supposed to be his body but it looked so funny I decided to add a hood and make it look like clothing!!
Oh Judi, he is just gorgeous......I needle felt a little but have never done anything like that! I tried to make a bear using some leopard print fur that I just loved and decided to felt his hands feet and face....he is now a bear with a rock god complex!!! He is so funny looking that I just had to go all the way and give him an earring and chains, and make his 'body' into clothing...I'll post a pic of my funny little man!!
This is my smallest bear by far!!! I was so shocked that he actually looks like a bear!
