Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

My niece has designed a classic 12" mohair bear that we all love. Wishing we could produce it here, but it will surely be priced out of the market. Does anyone here have any information or contacts for a high-quality producer of plush bears in Asia? Thanks in advance for your help!

Wondering if anyone can direct me to a faux fur supplier in the LA area. Assuming all of these these fabrics are knit and require specific attention during construction of the bear. Any info will be deeply appreciated!

Hello Everybody- I'm seeking a bear maker with traditional flair who is based in the LA area.

You will be constructing two 12 inch  bear samples from scratch with direction as to the general outline/design of the bear (via photos, samples, drawings, etc). I would like to collaborate regarding the procurement of supplies/parts all of which will be paid for by me/reimbursed. Upon successful completion, you will become my “go-to"  person for further work. Please reply to my email address for details regarding the project including the adequate compensation I am offering for the finished pieces.

I think that personal interface is most productive at completing work to exacting specifications. Therefore, I feel the need to procure a local artist/maker, if possible.  Would like to get started ASAP so please don't hesitate to email me today! I thank you kindly for reading!

Thanks everybody. I checked out the gallery and found a few makers that were in the same "direction..." I will be contacting them. As their locations aren't listed, odds are (my luck is) they are out of state. Is there any place on this forum where I could place a thread listing my wants/requirements? That is, a bear maker with traditional flair who is based in the LA area...? mlm

I need to complete two very special, custom  12" jointed bears and have had terrible luck with plush toy companies. Further, there are no bear makers in the L.A. area who may be able to help me. I am a fairly technical person with a lot of attention to detail and am pretty good with my hands. I just ordered the book 'Teddy Bear Art: How to Design & Make Great Teddy Bears' and am contemplating making the two pieces myself. I DO NOT know how to sew...

Will I be able to pull this off?  Thank you for your help!
