Oh I love this duo!! So sweet and the little one is so tiny! Adorable!
He is precious!
Berta he is adorable! Love those ears!!
I hope somone replies to this because I have always loved the look of a waxed nose but have never had much success with it myself.
And like you I would like to know how to use just a little wax as well as alot.
It is soooo much fun to experiment! I was thinking the same thing about the Rit not having enough colors to choose from that is why I went with the Cushing's to begin with. I did get some tan backed mohair specifically because I like the effect of the different color mohair with a tan backing so I will use the Cushings for that. I am pleased with the colors I ended up with I was just sort of surprised that the backing didn't dye too. You never know until you try I guess. Donna, do you use the liquid RIT or the powdered RIT?
Happy 4th of July everyone! I have a question about dyeing mohair with Cushings Dye. I have read through the library here on dyeing and I haven't found an answer to whether or not it will dye the backing and not just the mohair itself? I tried 4 batches last weekend (sooo much fun by the way) but the backing of the mohair only retained a tint and wasn't dyed by the Cushings. I followed the instructions on the packet and added the vinegar as directed. Am I doing something wrong? Also, will salt soften the colors like it does with KoolAid? I'm a little disappointed to think that I purchased over 20 packets of Cushings when I should have just tried regular old RIT.
Any help is appreciated!
He is adorable! Such a sweet expression!
She is such a sweet ballerina!! Did you dye the mohair yourself to get this wonderful shade of pink?
I like Dibble very much! Love the texture and color of his mohair. Very cute!!
Hamish is so sweet!
Thanks Becky! You don't realize how much you miss them until you start making them again.
WOw! Whenever I see a teddy bear that has been knitted or crocheted I am just amazed! String and I don't get along so it blows my mind how talented this is! Love him and I think I love the little bunny even more. Your colors are great!
Beautiful work!! She is stunning to look at. I agree her color does feel very positive and it makes you happy just to look at it.
Charlotte is adorable! Isn't it terrible that I never made one of my bears for myself? .....might have to think about doing just that. You have inspired me.
I too received the email from TBAF and I didn't read it but I thought they were talking about an E-subscription?
She is precious!! Love those little shoes. So sweet!
Francy-
I love your idea of making a "certificate/tag" out of the same materials that you use to make your hedgehogs! Very original!
Love this little giesha! Such a sweet face.
P.S. Your website is lovely too. I think your "we learn English" collection is wonderful!
This monkey is saying "be my mommy!" But I think all monkey's want me to adopt them. :D
LOOOOOOOOVE this picture!
So much detail! I love her braid! Such a neat idea. She is very lady-like and sweet! So adorable.
This little guy has "take me home with you" written all over his face! SOoooo cute!!
Joanne what a fabulous hug of bears!! It almost makes me sad to think they will be adopted separately. They should all go together since they look so happy that way. I love the way you do eyes on your bears. They look like they want to have a conversation with you.
Beautiful job!! And so much hard work! You will be a success without a doubt.
Maybe I should be glad I don't have children if that wouldn't shock them! :D
I do have to agree with Jenny when she says at least the artist has brought his or her own ideas to the table. In my opinion there isn't often enough of that.
Plus, these teddies definately stimulate conversation.....just look how much it has created here.
Oooh! I have ALWAYS loved her work. Well done and congratulations!
