Thank you for your helpful link. The bear does have glass eyes and the push box musical sound is similar to the one shown in the YouTube link you provided. My bear is made of silk plush and seems likely made in 1950s era . Bear collecting has dropped in popularity dramatically over the past decade and so have their values. But then again one never knows what another may value highly. You are right. I love my bear. Thanks again for your reply and info.

Hi all!   Please can anyone identify the 17" vintage bear I just found at an estate sale? He is clearly worn to the extent that he has been very well loved for more than a few decades.   He is not mohair but a super sot velour type of fabric and he is disc jointed all except his oversized head. He has original wool foot pads but resewn embroidered nose.  Most mysterious is he has a hidden inner sound box inside body that when pushed from his back makes air flow through and makes a magical chime sound song !  He seems to me to exude a 1940's vibe. I cannot find another example like him on Internet search.  Is he of monetary value beyond my adoration for him?   Im mystified & stumped. Thank you!    Heidi
