Congratulations Dawn, well done. Hugs Kerren
Hi,
That is how I started 12/13 years ago, I bought a basic pattern made up the bear and then used the dimensions to make patens of my own.
Then progressed to making the whole pattern my self, I had hundreds of different patterns, only last week I went through all the patens I have ever made and threw awayall the old ones. Now when I make a new bear I make completely new paten, I use cardboard cereal boxes to draw my patterns on. I keep them in zip wallets.

Hi,
I have been absent from posting for quite a while now, I am still making and selling my bears, I think I last posted before attending Hugglets.
I now have a permanent place for both fairs now, or rather the same place, for both fairs. So that is better than two different places each time.
My dad had heart attack in November and had to have a triple heart bypass operation in December,
he is well on the mend now.
My twin granddaughters are 2 ½ now and always doing funny things. They visited us when we were in the caravan, I was washing up and drying the pots when one of them said to me “grandma where is the dishwasher” I thought it was funny!
Our house has been for sale for 18 months, we have had lots of people to view but no serious offers.
That is really frustrating. We have completely renovated it and had it extended with a big kitchen/conservatory family room and a beautiful fitted kitchen.
My middle daughter has been at university a whole year now, time flies.
I have been ill for a couple of weeks so I thought I would report in and see what has been going on while I have been away.
Better go now hugs Kerren
hi Jane,
he is sooo cute!

Hi Sarah,
I have a shop near to me that sells most colours unfortunately they don’t do mail order, but if you let me know what colours you want I will have a look and find out how much they are and let you know.
Beary hugs Kerren
PS send me an email to remind me, thanks.
Hi,
Your blogg has been removed so I cannot see your bear, It is great that you are making bears and feel ready to sell them. I was very nervous when I started to sell bears 12 years ago. Are there any bear shops where you live or toy shops that might take your bears to sell?
You can post on this site under bears and other critters for sale, if you do you would have to tell the buyer you are in the USA, and you would need the cheque plus p&p made payable in USD.
Please don’t give out your details i.e. address to anyone you don’t feel comfortable with it may be a good idea not to tell your age. Make sure its OK with your parents before you post I’m just being cautious because I have children of a similar age too.
Hope this helps Beary best wishes Kerren
We had a great day the visitors were buying and looking all throughout the day so I only had a quick run round for materials, and lots of my rainbow and traditional bears found new homes, I bought mohair so I can get on and make more! I always take too many bears but I like to have a good selection.
Hugs to you Kerren
fantastic pictures! it was a fantastic fair!

Oh Sue,
That is really nasty! I feel really saddened that someone could be so heartless as to steal one of your bears. It isn’t as if we are huge retailers making huge profits, these are one of a kind creations we put our heart and soul in to making them and taking hours sometimes days to complete. I once had three bears stolen from a shop I supplied to, the owner was my brother in laws sister so they were on sale or return, but it is a horrible feeling. I hope the thief feels really guilty and cannot sleep at night, but unfortunately people like that don’t have a consciences.
Huge hugs to you Kerren
Hi All,
The bears have had to take a back seat recently, my dad had a heart attack and had to have a triple heart bypass operation, he is now on the mend so I can get back to bears again, it has been a tough few months.
I have been busy getting ready for Hugglets, I have also re vamped my web site and added my Hugglets preview bears, please take a look, and let me know what you think to the new site.
Thanks Hugs Kerren
Hi Sheli,
I will change it when I get chance,
Thanks

I sleep in pyjamas but they have "Betty Boop" or “little miss naughty" on them.
I do make and collect teddies.

The person below me enjoys gardening?
It made me laugh it is so true!
I drive a German car, I have a brass bed surround that came from India, all my garden stone came from India too, and my sewing machine is from Japan.
I reckon there isn't much made in the UK any more! My husband burnt his hand on the iron, he doesn’t iron he was testing to see if it was still hot! he is an intelligent adult.

Oh rats!
I have only just noticed this challenge, the girls planned a secret 20th anniversary party for us in July. Then we had a week in the Cumbrian Lake District then a week of washing and last week a week in Wales. So I have missed out on about four weeks of teddy talk!
I am now back home and ready for bear making.
I love clown bears, it may take me a while but I would love a go at making a different clown bear.
Hugs Kerren
