Hi Becky,

Thanks so much for your reply, yes your bear does look like mine, the size and the arms and legs shape! Thank you so much for that.

Just needed to check that I didn't have an expensive or rare teddy on my hands as my little girl loves him and plays with him a lot. Looks like he's ok still for cuddles!

Thanks again,

Thank you so much Becky!

I did she one on eBay that's very close, apart from the red tongue. Close in material, colour, eyes and body and squeeker, Here it is http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hermann-Soft-Zo … 0788281431

But like you said it could quite possibly be a Fechter! It's a mystery.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi, I'm new to your forum and was wondered if you anybody can help me. I've recently purchased what I think is a Zotty bear from a local vintage shop. Looking on the Internet mine has no bib, but does have the open mouth and looks very similar to a Steiff Zotty bears. There are no tags attached but it does have a working squeeker in its belly and movable head, legs and arms. I was wondering if anybody could tell me what type of bear he is and possibly what year he was made? I know this will be difficult without tags but thought I would ask you very kind people.

As you can see he looks very loved, thanks for taking the time to read this, hope you can help.
