Here are few photos of him. There are like cardboard pads beneath the pads on the feet, the pads of the arms are not the original ones. He is still firm, might be kapok or sub, glass eyes.

Hello, I need help  ~~ I bought a vintage bear, he is very cool but obviously not american, not german, not english. He was found somewhere upstate NY. I don't think he is japanese either but I could be wrong. I will post pictures tomorrow. Anyone knows where there are photos of vintage european teddies online? I tried Google , not much luck.

I never thought about entering artists, since they offer the handmade option. I guess I took a bad habit with ebay where bears or teddy bear show all bears. Will refine my search in the future

Peter, Etsy allows sellers to sell vintage items. I found very old teddies on Etsy. Have many on my favorite list. I like Etsy because it's more peaceful , not like Ebay where search is a nightmare. I used to own a nice collection, moved out of state and lost all my bears in the process. Where I live I'm lucky to find 3 bears in the toy basket of our local thrift store. I have to relay on sellers on sites like Etsy, Ebay and Rubyslane. Two of the bears above where made by artists, the girl held by the older bear and Peter who's wearing the blue sweater. I was surprised to see artists in here with an Etsy account because when I search for bears or for teddies very few handmade bears are showing on the result. I don't know if it is because of the keywords or...? I usually buy handmade bears to gift them to family members or friends, one of the kind bears make very special gifts

I saw two treads about Etsy. Yes, there are people who buy bears on Etsy. I am one of them, 5 so far from 5 different sellers. I have noticed that I get more results if I search for teddy bears instead of vintage, handmade bears. My favorite list is composed of 6 pages...bears,bears and yes several were sold.
My bears are old or in poor shape. They are priceless to me The old bears saw events I didn't see, they are a reminder of the past .
