Hi All
Jacqui has put her favourite bears on, so not wanting to feel left out here are my favourites from last years brood.
First is Hetty sister to Hobson and second is poor old Stanley.
Happy 2007

I have used MSIE7 for quite some time now, I started with the beta version then went to the full version when it first came out.
The new layout had me fooled for a time, but generally I liked it. So I talked Jacqui into downloading version 7 on to her comp.... She has had quite a few problems mainly with emails, but I think most of the bugs seem to have gone. Touch and go for a while there!

Hi Brenda,
Don't know if this will work but give it a try.
In the bottom right corner of your screen just above the clock, there should be a zoom icon with a % number next to it, click the little down pointing arrow next to this and you should  see lots of % sizes, click one and this should change the size of the page and text.
Good luck
Darren
Hi Tina
I have an About Me page, the easiest way I have found to get a nice background is to use a template, I use www.sellersourcebook.com
Find a template you like do your About Me Page and when you get to the html page press copy code button. Then go to ebay to where you can add your about me page and where it says enter own html paste and all background and text will appear.
I have basic computer knowledge and this website helps alot for all my Ebay listings so easy to use.
There is a small subscription fee, but it is worth it in the end.
Hope I have made sense.
Good Luck
Jacqui

Hi
You need Featured Plus that is where your listing is on the first page of the Artist section, so it is seen more prominently.
Good luck with your listing.

Good Evening!
Its been a long time since I lasted posted, and usually don't like to get involved - I like a quiet life, but here goes, if I cause anyone upset I apologise before I start.
My opinion is that Competitions are a good thing, in any industry and to be recognised by your industry at any level is a huge achievement and should be advertised with pride.
I have not as yet entered a competition, but intend to do so, but I do feel that when you start to make bears (or whatever you may do) and get yourself a website or list on Ebay or Bearpile, magazines or forums like this you are putting your work forward to be judged whether you like it or not, all business is competition, when you list on ebay you are putting your work forward worldwide to be judged against other artists bears. I can quote a friend on this that someone has taken the time to pick your listing against the potentially hundreds of others surely this is a form of trying to win a competition as the aim is to sell your work over the competitors. Its like when actors win an oscar they are then more likely to be offered more pictures with bigger wages, so in our world of bears if we win or are nominated for an award we too can hold our heads high, and the collectors will decide the price we can charge and the number of sales we might make. However you can still get good prices for your work if it is of a good standard and your own original design even if you don't enter competitions, but you have to get your name out there and advertise.
Its a good thing there are people out there who are willing to spend their time and effort in organising these competitions, and I feel they should be supported, as I agree with Paula they allow you to challenge the boundaries of artistry and we don't become complacent.
Off too hide now
Hi Krista
We use Paypal - its great! No problems at all. Its also a great way to purchase items especially off Ebay for the added security/comeback.

Hi All
Re Bearpile I have too defend DS as I received an email notification about the new site and conditions. We seem to be forgetting the point it appears that dishonesty has been a contribution to this situation, as DS relys on people being honest and paying their commission so this problem has spoilt it for a lot of artists.
I do realise $120.00 is alot of money, but for a one off advert in a magazine it costs approx £47 for just one tiny 16th page add in colour, so you are hoping collectors will buy the magazine and see your advert. Regarding Ebay this is not a cheap option either, and what if you don't sell your bear? yes you can relist for free, but you still have a final sellers fee.
I do feel its a little unfair to say you could pay your membership and he could close the site at a later date, but I do think he has put a lot of trust in us in the past to pay our commission on a gentlemans agreement, so if he has trusted us why should be not trust him.
At the end of the day you have to do what you think is best for retailing your work, but nothing is for free these days, and you only get what you pay for!
The thought for the day is if there are less bears on Bearpile, less competition. Also it is like the Sweet Shop scenario too much choice, you can't make your mind up, so in the end buy nothing. (But in my case I am not a quitter!hahaha!)
Hope we don't lose another outlet for selling our bears, due to lack of support, it is getting a bit thin on the ground.
Best wishes

Hello Kimberly,
I just took a quick peek at Morris on eBay, I would like to compliment you on the effort you have put in your listing. It is a shame that people do not take the time to email to say "well done" instead of putting so much effort into picking fault, to me it seems as if they have nothing better to do with their time, perhaps he has had a row with his wife!!!! and taken it out on you.
Just ignore and press delete, don't waste your brain power on him, it's not worth it.
Kind regards
Darren

Hi
Can anyone help, I have done an "About Me" page, but want to add a link to my website www.jacqlynbears.com however I am using a Sellar Sourcebook template and it is not letting me do the link. I have noticed a few of you use a template and have a link to your website, could you give me a little advise on how to do this.
Hope you can stop me pulling my hair out.
Many thanks
Darren
