Hello everyone-I am looking for an old magazine-Teddy Bear and Friends Jan./Feb. 2002.Does anyone have this one? I can pay or possibly there is something we can trade.I was at the TBOV show in Toronto this past Sunday. Hello everyone-I am really enjoying this post.My dream vacation is to jump on a plane for England to stay a long long time.My grandmother was from Haslemere and she talked of it all her life (till she was 96!!!) I would love to walk the streets that she walked 100 years ago! I would love to see Windsor Castle, the Crown Jewels, Tower of London , Harrods etc etc. I would also like to be a customer at Hugglets! However, instead I will be jumping in my car tomorrow for a 24 hour drive to Daytona Beach for 5 weeks!! Maybe next year to England????Sincerely Jane D.

hello all- I would love to try making and aging a bear. What type of mohair would you suggest?I love 5/8 length usually but the curly matted does not give the look that I want.I want to make it center seam and about 15" tall.Any suggestions as to what any of you have tried? Congratulations Aleta on your new adventure.I laughed aloud when I read this post as my very dear friend is spending Christmas in Portland with her new twin grandsons.She is from northern Ontario where there is snow piled high from Nov. till early April. We celebrated 35 years on July8th.Most of my friends are divorced and have boyfriends now. I think I will keep hubby because I don't think I could cope with a "boyfriend".The only problem I have is that he complains about all my mohair.Hmmm---could be grounds for divorce. Thank you everyone for your help and suggestions.I have lots to read -thank you Tami! The vet calls it "seasonal" allergies that seem to linger longer each year.We had a more peaceful night but that happens when he is on the steroids which is my concern.We have a snow storm here today so perhaps if the vet is correct maybe this "seasonal" thing will be over.Who thought I would appreciate a snow storm????I really do appreciate all the help especially when I know that the American gals are very busy at this time.Lulu-Thank you for the pm-I hope your pies didn't burn.Maria- I'm not sure where you are as I'm not "up on" my world flags but thank you too.Again thanks to all for your prompt replies.Sincerely Jane D. and Raffi  The tea tree oil sounds very soothing!

Hello everyone and a very Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends! My 9 year old ShihTzu has developed some kind of skin condition and his tummy is raw and bleeding from scratching.He is not a very happy boy and I am upset too!I have had him to the vet 3 times this fall and he is on his 3rd set of Vanectyl- which is a steroid.He is fine as long as he takes the pill but I don't want him on this forever.I thought someone out there might have a home remedy or an idea of what I can do to stop the itch without steroids.I know that so many of you have dogs and you are all such good mommies that you may be able to help.Thank you so much. Tis is a little OT but I bought a bear from the US 2 weeks ago.I paid the seller for the bear and postage.She sent it to me by UPS.When it got to my door I had to pay another $135.00.The value for customs was $500.I was expecting to pay the 14% Canadian tax and a $5.00 handling fee.However the other $65.was what UPS charged as their"broker's fee"to bring my parcel into Canada from the US.I nearly fell on my well-cushioned tush!! When I order mohair it comes "Airmail to Canada" where I pay the tax and handling. I feel that parcels sent internationally should just be sent airmail without involving a broker. I am in a real quandery as to what to do another time that I want to buy a bear from the US. I really love my bear but it did end up being so much pricier than I had originally thought.Sincerely Jane D. ( Just a FYI so others won't be shocked at the door)

Hi everyone-I will be in the Orlando area on the weekend of the show.Do I understand correctly that the show is open to the public on the Sat& Sun.???(keeping fingers crossed snd holding my breath here!!!)Will any other TT's be there as collectors and artists? Thank you Shane, Andrea and Marion-The show was lots of fun as usual.The day did not start too well as we had a terrible storm just as everyone was unloading.Torrential downpours-everyone was running in all directions.Drippy hairdos were the order of the day. However we were all soon pacified with Chris and Karen's delicious coffee and breakfast! Everyone seemed to sell a couple of bears but it was more admirers than buyers.A great atmosphere-lots of questions and interesting people from far and wide to chat to.The contest was fun and Miss Octoberfest was a beautful charming girl who presented our awards.Lots of press there too from the local newspapers.It really was a lovely way to spend the day.Your donated prize bear was greatly admired, Shane and Steven.Lots of tickets were sold on it to benefit the homeless.Great of you to do that.You were missed! Sorry not to meet Jeremy after all and Mer Bear but she was home cooking dinner for a MERE 25 people.LOL! Hopefully even more people will join us next year.Sincerely Jane D.
