Here is my best tip: I hate when I ram the non sharp end of a needle into my finger, which I used do a lot, but I have learned that if you put a fabric bandaid on you finger it makes a great thimble type guard. I buy the generic brand they work just as well, and it really does feel like you have nothing on your finger.
Great tip Jodi, I use a leather quilting thimble which works awesome...I never thought of a fabric bandaide

Now this is not pet but this is my Hubby petting real Tigers....it was scary to watch and the male tiger decided to wrap his paws around my husband's ankle and he licked and licked his pant leg and shoe until his pants and shoe were soaking wet.....
