they are 3.5" tall and made out of that wonderful silk plush. I hope you can find the time to give them a visit! it's the first time I've offered a mini-bird seperately, I thought it would be nice to do something smaller for a change.
thanks, folks! you sure are a great bunch  the double-dutch bunnies were double fun for me because my mom helped me out with this pair. I shipped the bunnies to her in Holland, MI, and she tailored the basic costume for me - she's made dozens of real dutch costumes over the years - and had the ladies at the fabric store running all over the place to find her authentic fabric in the right scale (Holland, MI's Tulip Time parade has 1000 teens dressed in dutch costume doing the Klompen Dance between parades, and all the costumes have to be totally authentic. there is an advisory board that approves all the fabrics, costumes & accessories before they are allowed to be worn.) after she shipped them back, I made the hats and embleished the clothing, adding the antique lace collar & all the fuss - the ribbons, embroidery, etc. . .
Meet Bertie & Brighitta Bunny, the Double-Dutch Bunnies
They are 24" & 22" tall and currently listed seperately on eBay
you can visit Bertie at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi … 0384032755
and Brighitta at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi … 0384042762
hey, thanks everyone! i think she's a charmer, too, but I don't think I'll be doing very many miniatures, it just takes to long. . . I'm glad I finally tried one, though, it sure gives you a new appreciation for those who work small all the time
   wonderful, fabulous, fantastic!
   Krista, your pups are just the best - - all of 'em!
   absolutely, completely adorable - but you'd better watch out, he's bigger than you are!!!
   he's adorable
gosh, you must work your fingers to the bone
   she is as adorable as her creator! totally not surprised she didn't make it to auction!
deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeligghtful!! and the mug on that bear! gosh, what a cutie
gosh, thanks, everyone! I have to admit that I'm loving her myself, but she really was sheer torture for me to make. I think I re-did every part at least twice, and the dress - which I thought I could whip out in an hour - took me almost two days. I ended up using quilters betweens and invisible thread {{{shudder}}} it wraps itself around everything. horrible stuff, just horrible!
Mireille, I can see from your work how much you love all that tiny stuff and I envy you both your talent & your patience.
oh, in sheer frustration, because for some reason ebay isn't allowing me to add the rest of marilyn's pics, here's a clearer shot of her blower 'grate'. I was so far behind that I didn't get my listing up until after 11pm, and forgot a few shots, as usual
'Bearily Marilyn is 4" tall, my smallest articulated bear to date, and I'm quite proud of her - mostly for enduring the frustration of working so small - all that horrible handwork. .

he's extrodinary! absolutely original, yet somehow reminiscent of vintage Disney. really well done, Bobert!
I am pleased to introduce Percy, the precocious polar cub! 30" long and multi-jointed, Percy is currently available on ebay, ending on Sunday, Feb 22. Percy is the first piece I've made for sale in 'o9. I've haven't been around much, it's been a tough winter so far, with a string of DRI's ** that run the gamut from a cracked rib to a bruiser of a black eye. sheesh! anyway, Percy is quite a bruiser in his own right, and you can see his auction at:

**(dog-walking-related-injuries!)
hey, that's really cool! what a great idea. and it's so much more durable than a photo album - I'm always worried about fingerprints on the pictures and stuff. great pics, too!
