What a cool idea with the peanut shell - ! I love the detail in this work
Love it - that is really amazing shading. Good luck for the exhibition
I really love her outfit - have a great time at the exhibition
I love the colours you've used. She has a really sweet and pensive expression.
Thanks again for the above advice; the technique works well. I bent up a stainless steel loop using pliers, then filled the back of the eye with light curing gel and used a UV gun to set the loop in place. It is very sturdy.
Wow - so tiny! Great job, he must have taken you ages.
You've done a really great job - I always find the long pile furs tricky to work with
Cute face, I love the colour
Very sweet face, and such lovely detail
I love your mice - Stitch is really cute
Great job, Tatiana, she has a lovely face
LOL - ! I kept breaking the needles when I first tried my hand at felting - !
P.S. Congratulations on your recent success in the Bear Artistry awards, Shelley - great entry
I'd like to introduce Hymie. I meant him to be a naive, aged bear, but he had other ideas, and ended up with over-sized eyes and a felted face.
Cheers,
Claire.
Definitely my bear Igor, given to me the Christmas after my father died. I brought him with me when I immigrated to the UK. He has been around the world a few times. I have other interesting bears in my collection, and they all have stories, but Igor has the most sentimental value.
P.S. Just went to check him out on ebay - well done on your sale!
Great job, great colours. Hope that you enjoyed your first go at needle felting.
Great little mouse, Wayne - he has a really sweet expression.
Another beautiful kitty - so sweet!
Really beautiful job, I am not surprised that she quickly found a new home - ! Great work on the shading.
Hi Christina and Joanne
Many thanks for your help, I look forward to trying that. I bought some taxidermy eyes a while ago that I will now be able to put to use.
Cheers,
Claire.
Hi
I was hoping to get some advice regarding taxidermy eyes, specifically the type shaped like a dome, without a loop at the back. I have only ever used these for porcelain doll making before, but know that some artists have had great success using them for bears. What is the best way to secure them?
Many thanks,
Claire.
He is really great, and made me smile. Lovely, detailed work.
Claire.
Hi Shelly,
Beautiful work, love the jacket.
Hiya,
I love the colours, and I am very intrigued by the eyes - are they mannequin eyes like you would find on a shop mannequin - ?
Best wishes,
Claire.
