Kai is absolutely adorable, Pauline, he has the sweetest expression and an irresistible charm.
I just adore him.
Hugs,
Peter & Treacle
I've posted a link to my Facebook page and so has Daphne :o)
Good idea ! I have done that too.
What a great story, Marilyn, I can just picture you being all excited about your "find"
But wasn't it lovely that you were already planning how to take care of the little bird; I'm sure you were hoping you could raise him yourself !
Sue, luckily you didn't sit down on the loo before you noticed the bird. You would have been in for a nasty shock !
I doubt there is any hope for you, but doesn't it feel good to be completely silly sometimes ??
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
Thanks for informing us, Joanne .
I have voted for the North American Bear Center.
Let's hope the Center gets a share of the 5Mio dollar !

Peter & the Barling rascals
She is very lovely, Emma, and has such a sweet innocent face.
I also love her skirt and she doesn't wear her heart on her sleeve, but on her chest !
Great work !

Peter & the bears
Thanks a lot
Oh, you make me blush  I'll bring her in September to Hugglets (my first Hugglets )
One more reason to convince me to go to the show as well, Elena !! You are going to love it, but be prepared for a busy day !
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
Ooooh Maschenka is adorable, Elena, she is such a sweet little lady and her toys are wonderful accessories !
Great work

Thank you all so much for the lovely comments. I really appreciate it very much. and I am sure that Marilyn will be pleased to read them as well and I will pass them on to Gregory.
I consider myself very lucky to be surrounded by such beautiful creatures and, honestly, they are a constant source of joy and comfort !
So - when do you have to move to a bigger house???????????
Maria : if you have a couple of hundred thousands euros under your mattrass, I will be glad to take them off your hands and buy a bigger house. One of these days I will post some photos of my house and the bears in it; you will be surprised how modest it is. (But the bears have virtually taken over most of the house
).
Is that a bit of Beaumont showing in the middle of the group photo in Marilyn's birthday greeting?
Becky : how very observant of you : the bear that you saw in Marilyn in Marilyn's birthday photograph is called Robinson and his top half is white and bottom half grey mohair with silver tips (so the same as Beaumont). The picture was taken before I had Beaumont, but I liked the grey tipped mohair so much, that Marilyn made Beaumont from the same material.
Ok... must stop gushing or I'll be sneaking over to Belgium to attempt kidnap
Don't get any funny ideas in your head, Rich, you won't find anything of value in my house except .... my bears
Hugs to all of you,
Peter & the bears
Tammy Wamboldt (Beckoning Bears in Canada) makes gorgeous bears from recycled old fur garments.
(When we get closer to the "due date," we can ask Quy to create a challenge gallery where we can post the finished pieces.)
Don't worry, Becky, I am not going to enter !
But to make it interesting for the rest of us, I was thinking that maybe we could have a vote on the finished bears or animals.
For instance : everybody can press the new "LIKE" link for his/hers 3 (or 5) favourite creations. Whoever gets the most votes, wins.
As first prize I would suggest a hug and a kiss from me !

Hi dear Teddy Bear Friends,
As promised here is the third and final chapter of my little story about the bears who came home with me after the Stratford-upon-Avon Teddy Bear Artist Event.
This chapter is called "the big ones"
As a matter of fact, these two bears were the main reason I went to Stratford. Both bears were made on commission and were waiting for me at the show. So, it gives me great pleasure to introduce to you :
: I especially asked Gregory to make a very traditional teddy in a classic colour and the result is stunning : a gorgeous 23 “ teddy in short golden mohair. Neville is fitted with a growler that produces the longest deep growl I have ever heard.
: I am afraid that these photos don’t do justice to Beaumont, but when I tell you that he stands tall at 28,5”, weighs approximately 6 kgs (13 lb), has the most sumptuous grey mohair fur with silver tips and a cute burgundy nose, you will understand that Beaumont is a huge magnificent hunk of a teddy bear (not to be trifled with ). Admittedly I had to wait some time before he was finally finished, but he is soooooo well worth the wait.
A big thank you to Gregory and Marilyn for making these two adorable bears for me.
When I drove home after my stay in Stratford, the back seat of my car was filled with teddy bears and that made me feel so good !
Unfortunately the story of the Stratford bears ends here, but not to worry : apparently there is a teddy show in London in September ….
Hugs to all of you,
Peter & the bears
Thank you, Alison, for all your (and Robert's) time and efforts, so we can enjoy all these great pictures of the show !
You know what strikes me : while I was visiting a show in the UK, almost simultaneously -give or take a week- there was a show in Australia (Gold Coast) and there was your show in the USA (Heartland, Arizona). Maybe there was another show in Hong Kong or Singapore or Japan, we don't know about?
These places are thousands of miles apart and yet we were all doing exactly the same thing : Teddy Talking and Hugging ! It just sort of "feels right".
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
Thank you Therese for taking the time and the effort to let us enjoy the pictures of the show !
It looks like a wonderful show.
Hugs,

Thank you for reminding us, Catherine, about this important petition.
I signed it a few weeks ago, but only mentioned it on Facebook.
I know you all care deeply about the wild bears as well, so I fully agree with Catherine and hope many of you will sign the petition.
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
Peter are you at it again?
Oh Ali, you know me too well ; I had a few pounds left after Stratford and they were burning a hole in pocket.

Oh dear Sue, these little cubs are absolutely adorable !
I especially like the combination of the colours on the two darker bears and they all the sweetest expression .... I'm in love
Hugs,

PS. Sent you a separate mail
Congratulations to all the nominees !
It's great to see so many TT'ers among the nominees. The bears all look wonderful and I hope many of you will bring back an award !
Hugs,

Wow, you did a great job there, Rich; he really looks fantastic.
Even though it may not be your own design, he looks fab ! The muzzle and the eyes and the nose are great and I just love his humps.
How big is he ?
Have to say most stressful bear I've ever made knowing someone else’s money is going into it but from a solely technical point it's my best so farx
Get used to it . I think you should charge all the hours you spent on making this bear as well... (but that's just the banker in me speaking
).
Wonderful job
Hugs,

Hi Ann-Marie,
Congratulations on your crown princess Victoria's wedding.
They even broadcast the ceremony live on Belgian television, so even here it's top of the bill news.
Victoria looked lovely in her dress !
Even though I am not at all a royalty watcher, I have always felt much sympathy for Victoria.
So maybe you could clear one or two things up for me :
--> Is it true that her father, king Carl Gustav, objected to the wedding because her fiance was a "common man" ? (shame on him if so )
--> Did her fiance help Victoria with her anorexia problems ? (good on him if so )
What a great idea to give 10 % off on your bears to mark the occasion.
Did it never occur to you to make a wedding bear for Victoria ?
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
You are very perspicacious, Rich !!
Oh I love those Pandas. A hugs unlimited bear is on my shopping list for the next couple of years. They are beautiful.
My photos don't really do justice to Dawn's bears, because they are quite heavy and really very very huggable. I am sure you would love them.
Have to admit I saw the Shakespeare bear myself... 20% on that day too wasn't it? I nearly brought one home myself but having just spent quite a bit at the fair I though I'd best rein myself in. Wished I'd bought him now though, he looks wonderful! Maybe next year.
An excellent excuse to go back next year !
Although I can't possibly believe they get bigger. I can only imagine Paula, Barling or Pawtrait are involved? Oh don't tell me you got a Pawtrait. Could you have got that back to Belgium!?!?
A very good guess : the one bear by Paula that I really fancied (Gustav) was snatched away by you, if I recall correctly .
Pawtrait Bears : I already have one of Brigitte's gorgeous bears and for the moment that suffices.
Barling Bears .... mmmmh, could be.
Wait and see next week !
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
I haven't got the faintest idea how you could restore such a bear, Marilyn, so my contribution to this post is completely useless.
But I do want to say how wonderful it is that you have found this bear and brought him home with you.
If only he could talk and tell you all that has happened to him. He must have been a very well loved and treasured bear.
Whatever you decide to do, I am glad he has found a new home with you.
Hugs,
Peter & the Barling Rascals
Awww, he is very sweet, Brenda !
But I didn't know bunnies could climb trees.
Hugs,
Peter & the bears
They are all magnificent, Joanne !!
But if I could take just one home with me, it would be Prescott
I am sure they will be a big succes in Singapore and will find new homes in no time !
Hugs,
Peter, Harry & the bears gang
Hi dear friends,
Last week I showed you two teddies that I adopted at the Stratford show.
The bears that are featured in this post were not adopted at the show ! But they did come home with me on my return to Belgium.
The first one is a teddy I bought in the giftshop of Shakespeare's birthplace. Can you really imagine me seeing this lovely "Shakesbear" and resisting the temptation ? Methinks not. He is not an artist bear; he is mass manufactured by the Great British Teddy Bear Company LTD (www.gbteddybear.com), but I still think he is quite adorable.
These next two gorgeous pandas were made by Dawn James (Hugs Unlimited). I met Dawn and her husband Chris after the show for a cup of coffee and pastry and we had a lovely chat about all sorts of beary things. To cut a long story short, Dawn made me an offer I couldn't refuse and before I knew it I was holding these two darlings in my arms . Jack is about 20" tall and Jill somewhat smaller; they are quite heavy and very huggable. So a big THANK YOU Dawn for offering this lovely pair to me.
I hope you like them as much as I do.
Next week the final part will appear, which I like to call "the really big ones" .
Hugs,
