Found your website clear and easy to navigate. I found it a bit large for my screen but its probably my setup.
Loved you avatar and website 'doorkeeper'.

Green & Black's Mint - veryyyyyyyyy definitely, although friends seem to like my own handmade rum truffles and Easter eggs.
Sandra
My photography is on a par with my computer skill - zippo-.

Judi - There should be a law against one lady having sooooooo much talent.
Seriously though - they are all beautiful. Shame on you for thinking of discarding them. If you want to discard any more cards or bears - fling them in my direction please.
Sandra
Hehe, putting your feet in your mouth doesn't sound that nice!
Just one of those quaint English expressions
Sandra
Oh - does he melt your heart or what?
Does he have a removable glove on or is that something else? It doesn't seem visible in the second photograph.
How tall is he?
Oh I'll shut up before I put both feet in my mouth.
Sandra
I'm with the other two TTs. I'd go with the avatar style first- unless you feel they wouldn't support his body weight. Good grief  I can't belive I just said that!!!!!!!!!
Sandra
Thank you all very much for the help - I'll see what I can do.

I bought a piece of mohair and the direction of the pile seems to vary on the piece. When cutting out pattern pieces, is it best to -
a) always go with the direction of the pile regardless of the straight grain of the fabric?
b) always go with the straight grain of the fabric and try and correct the pile direction later?
If the answer is b) - what's the best way to do that please?
Thank you.
Sandra
..I am nowhere near the top
Excuse me - but I beg to differ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sandra
Good grief    you've done it again.........................
Congratulations.

Sandra
Thank you Ladies for all your advice. Its been a great help.
Kim - I may live in the UK but I'm afraid I think in 'feet and inches'. I don't relate to metric at all.
Sandra
Could you transplant your artistic skill to me please...................

The UK has a consumer TV prog. called 'WatchDog'. They did a feature this week on ebay and particularly on Paypal.
It was not good PR for the company.

At the moment I'm slowly trying out different styles and sizes of bears to learn new techniques and and develop a better idea of what suits my skills. I find it very annoying having to 'down tools' whilst I order individual sets of nut and bolt joints and specific sets of eyes and then wait for them to be delivered.
I appreciate when you have identified the size of bears you like to make you can order these in bulk, but I'm not there yet.
Could anyone recommend a 'basic size range ' of hardboard discs and eyes that I could buy in more economical quantities?. (Its all outlay at the moment) There are so many sizes of hardboard discs and so many types and sizes of eyes that it would be impossible to keep sets of everything. Not having different ones in hand so to speak also prevents you trying different e.g. eyes to see the various effects. I have a set of black eyes on pins to mark the eye position and to give an indication of size required - but I'd like to try colours or even my own painted ones.
Could you suggest a basic set of Copic marker colours that that would be the most flexible to buy whilst I try them out. e.g. do you always need black ......................
Any suggestions would be most welcome and would be appreciated by my Bank Manager
