Whoo Hoo ! That is splendid news, Lenora.  :dance:  :dance:  :dance:

Apparently the brain has an amazing capacity to heal itself and to make new brain cells where they have been damaged (what they call "neurogenesis": the creation of new brain cells).  So there is every hope that your son will make a good recovery, although I do believe that you will have to be patient and not expect miracles overnight.

THE THREE BEARS … WHAT REALLY HAPPENED

A far more accurate account of the events of that fateful morning....

[color=]Baby bear goes downstairs, sits in his small chair at the table.
He looks into his small bowl. It is empty. 'Who's been eating my porridge?' he squeaks.

Daddy Bear arrives at the big table and sits in his big chair.
He looks into his big bowl and it is also empty. 'Who's been eating my porridge?!?' he roars. 

Mummy Bear puts her head through the serving hatch from the kitchen and yells,
'For God's sake, how many times do I have to go through this with you idiots?
It was Mummy Bear who got up first.
It was Mummy Bear who woke everyone in the house.
It was Mummy Bear who made the coffee.
It was Mummy Bear who unloaded the dishwasher from last night and put everything away.
It was Mummy Bear who swept the floor in the kitchen.
It was Mummy Bear who went out in the cold early morning air to fetch The newspaper and croissants.
It was Mummy Bear who set the damn table.
It was Mummy Bear who walked the bloody dog, cleaned the cat's litter tray, gave them their food, and refilled their water.
And now that you've decided to drag your sorry bear-arses downstairs and grace Mummy Bear with your grumpy presence,
listen carefully, because I'm only going to say this once....' [/color]

Wouldn't that be a great idea ?   Instead of doing a teddy bear swap or a Christmas card swap, we could do a TT-member's swap : every member gets to visit another member on the other side of the world ...

Wow, Matilda, it looks like you're in for the holiday of a lifetime !  :dance:

I'm sure Sophie and Maria will spoil you rotten    and will be excellent guides in Paris and the rest of France and Germany ....  and then off to Alaska.  I wish I was in your shoes. 

Have a wonderful time, take lots of pictures to show us and if you happen to pass through Belgium and my lovely city of Antwerp, I will treat you to some waffles or chocolates !

Hi Maria,

I'm so sorry to read that Teddy Total wasn't a succes (to put it mildly). 

Do  you have any ideas what caused the poor attendance :
- the aftermath of the air traffic mess
- economic crisis still letting itself felt
- two days is too much
- ...
????

I do feel pretty bad for deciding not to go; but I have my heart set on the Stratford show in June and 2 shows in three months time is just a bit too much for my wallet.

Awww, I felt a bit sorry for the little duckling, he just wanted to play with the puppy (or maybe he had a crush on him/her  ).

Luckily at the end, the puppy seems to tolerate his strange friend's presence.
