Funny, when I was at the Vatican last summer I don't remember it looking quite like that!

Hi everyone, thought I join in on this one. I get almost all of my bearmaking stuff from Disco Joints and Teddies in St Jacob's Ontario. They have a website I'm not sure what it is exactly but if you google them you'll find it.
They sell stuffing from a company called G E Textiles (I think
) and then it's sent directly from the guy who manuactures it. I've been using it for almost 10 years, he used to be at all the bear shows in Toronto but now he's a little harder to find. I use his 'regular fill' stuffing because it's what I like the best I tried using his 'hollow fill' which is the 'lofty stuff' and the 'hard pack' stuffing but I found the 'regular fill' worked best for all around stuffing. It packs firm when you need it and soft when you don't.
And the great thing is you can buy it in 20 pounds or 40 pounds so you will have it for a while! If you are going to check out their web site for the polly stuffing you'll need to ask them for it since they no longer have it listed on their site but they do still sell it!
If I remember correctly Disco Joints and Teddies' also sells sheeps wool or lambs wool for stuffing noses.
Another place for sheeps/lambs wool would be a dance shop....yes I said dance shop! Ballet dancers often use it on thier feet when dancing on pointe, and most dance shops will have it in stock. I'm not sure you could get a huge bag of it but it would be worth a try! Maybe they could do a special order for you?
The last batch I got was from a local farmer.........it was fairly cheap and already cleaned!
There's my 2 cents, hope you find it helpful.....if not, don't worry I can make change!
AndreaM
OMG I hurt from laughing so hard............at first I thought he deserved what he got for not paying attention.....then I actually started to feel bad for him
I love how descriptive he was, I felt like I was right there watching it with him!!!

My favorite is the second picture.......it looks like he either saying "EEEEEWWWWWW a rat!" or "Mom the rat keeps bugging me.....make him stop"

How fun!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't tell if the squirrel is happy or annoyed
AndreaM
I've been done for a while now.....sickning I know. Let me explain before I get the hate-mail
For some reason every year around Christmas our mother cat gets hurt and the vet bills are enormous. She doesn't injur herself with anything normal...oh no!
Two years ago she tore her cruciate ligament and couldn't walk for three weeks (thank goodness it wasn't broken).
Last year was intersting, some how she managed to slice her tounge??????? She had to have it stitched..but of course they didn't stay in so now she literally has a forked tongue.......don't ask
to this day we don't know how it happened. The vet was just as shocked as we were.
And this year as if right on cue I think she may have broken her tail!!!!!!! She can't seem to move it from about two inches past her hips. She's going in tonight to get checked out so I've got the old credit card ready!
So for this reason I have a rubbermaid tote under my bed and whenever I see something for someone through out the year I get it and throw it in there. This way also keeps me from over-spending........well actually it allows me to over spen on myself instead
Judi: I'm sorry to hear about you dog....that's a pretty big surgery...I'll be thining of you
