WOW ! ! !
Congratulations Marion ! ! ! Hubster is quite cute, by the way and you were a beautiful bride ! ! ! Looks like you had a wonderfully beautiful day for a wedding.
Thanks, everyone, for such good advice. For now, I'm wearing the braces and it's much improved already. I was trying to make too many bears in too short a time for a show. From now on, I'm going to keep making them in advance so I will always have enough, no more cramming. I did the same thing that brought about the trigger finger for which I had a successful surgery.
I'll be going to hand physical therapy and taking it easy for a while. I'm going to look for some ruta grav ( we have a pretty good health food store here that probably sells it). I'm also going to take the stretching and frequent rests advice.
You're all just the BEST ! ! ! Thanks a TON ! ! !
Just wondering if anyone has had carpel tunnel syndrome and how it was treated.
After waking up three mornings with numb hands I went to my doctor who diagnosed carpel tunnel syndrome. She gave me wrist/hand braces for both hands and prescribed hand physical therapy.
Has anyone had surgery for carpel tunnel? I'm reading this is quite successful. Any other treatments that might be helpful? I've just gotta get my hands back, this just won't do ! ! !
Eliza, what a nightmare ! ! ! I found the same problem with docs when I went from Kaiser to an HMO. Different world. Anyway, I would go to a pharmacy and talk to the pharmacist. I think they know more about medications than the doctors. A pharmacist won't be able to change your scripts but may be able to help you sort out the symptoms you're experiencing. Then, armed with info from the pharmacist, I think a trip to the ER would be in order.

So cute and so clever. I've bookmarked it.
After I saw this, I tried to get my dogs to tell me they love me . . . no luck. But I know they do.
I like the look of your new website, Krista. I'd love to be added to your links page. I'll add you to mine too.
Absolutely adorable, Connie. Great idea to fix your leg problem. I don't know if I would have thought of it. I can't wait to see your little bear bear in his Halloween duds.
Well . . . I'd have to have one for each holiday . . . so, for Christmas, I'd have to have the Santa with the little girl peeking around from behind, and for Easter, the bunny with the basket. For Halloween I like the girl in the orange costume with the broom and black cat. The first one with the cat is a no-brainer, I'd have to have it.
WOWIE what a spectacular kitty ! ! ! Her face is absolutely beautiful.
I have a book called "Two-Hour Dolls Clothes" by Anita Louise Crane. It has patterns for several outfits for 12, 14, 16 and 18 inch dolls and sewing instructions. Of course the patterns don't fit bears but it gave me an idea for the basic pattern piece shapes so I go from there and draw the patterns out to my bears' measurements.
Charlotte, I can't wait to see what you make with the alpaca. I might have to pick your brain a bit about the carding. And, I thought the fur was very clean too. No smell to it at all. She must give them a good shampooing before shearing. I know she loves her alpacas so much she can't sell them. They have a beautiful ranch in Kentucky with about 30 or so animals. Here she is hugging on one of the babies (her mom and sis stand by).
And another picture of more of her "children".
Oh yes, beautiful color. Cute, cute bunny ! ! ! All the turquoise pieces were beautiful, but your bun gets my vote.
Hi Mandie, I'd love to swap links too. I'll send you an email.
Oh my gosh, cute cute cute and so clever. I love the first one with the sunglasses for wings.
She looks all girl, so sweet. I think her voice is OK. Girl bears in the wild have deep voices too. I've never heard a female bear sounding like Minnie Mouse anyway.
Oh my, Paula. Puddles is such a precious kitty. I'm a dog person myself, but Puddles almost makes me want to adopt a kitty. My dog Buster is afraid of cats, but my dog Bear would have a cat living under the sofa or up a tree. He thinks he is "great hunter".
I like it ! ! !
Wow, how cool is that ! ! ! Congratulations Nancy. Adorable pin keep ! ! !
Congratulations Sophie ! ! ! That's fantastic.
Such beautiful bears, Yvonne. Florence is my fave. I love her collar. I checked out your website too. The picture of you in your studio is great.
He looks so real, Jane. He's about to jump off the screen.
