Very sweet and girlie bear.
Awwwww, they're wonderful. I so wish I could visit Hugglets. Maybe someday.
He's beautiful, Paula ! ! ! His eyes are WOW.
Cute, cute, cute ! ! !
Check the antique bears section on ebay. I bet you'll find one like it. I've seen lots of very similar ones there.
COOL ! ! !
WOW, excellent ! ! !
Go with the ducks. I love rubber duckies. I have a little collection in my guest bathroom and I did the whole bathroom in rubber ducky decor when my girls were little. I think guys would like them too.
What a sweet butterfly bear Jan. His colors are gorgeous ! ! !
Kim, I can't believe you have a huge zebra in your studio ! ! ! Please, what's the story behind it???? Did you make it??? I love your vintage clown prints too.
What a sweet clown ! ! ! I love the colors too.
What beautiful eyes this boy has ! ! !
Most prescious Jenny ! ! ! Angelina stole my heart too but they are all fantastic.
Hmmm . . . well, I can't imagine not designing and making bears either, but, if I won the lottery, I'd take lots of road trips. I love to be on the road seeing the country.
But seriously, I'd have a video editing business. I do editing for our local TV station and I've edited lots of home movies and transferred them to dvd and made wedding videos etc. Tons of fun but I need a new computer. It takes forever to render the videos on my laptop. I'd also like to learn more about web design and throw that in too.
Oooohhhh . . . . a huge congratulations to you Gemma.  Yes, pictures please :photo:
Patty, I can't believe it!
Do you really sew all the way over there squooshed into that left-hand corner? With all of the lovely light coming in? And 2 table/workspaces to get you elbows really flying out there while swinging body parts under the needle? I'd be planted right into the middle of the window.Curious: How many have their computer in what's considered your main workroom?
Bobbie, I used to have my laptop on the desk in front of the window. Since my laptop screen died, I've had to move my computer station elsewhere. I haven't rearranged things since then.
But . . . I have a very old portable Singer that I use to sew bears. I usually set it up upstairs (my workspace is in the walk-out basement) on the kitchen table in front of the window that overlooks the lake. I use my downstairs sewing machine to sew clothes and home dec stuff. I will be moving it onto the desk if I don't get a new computer right away.
EXCELLENT ! ! ! What great colors.
Jennifer, I started making bears in 1986 when I took a one-day class. I made quite a few bears over the years and gave them as gifts and kept them. I still have a few of them around. I didn't start selling them until January of this year. I quit my full time job in 2003 when we built a home in the Sierra foothills. Once the house was finished and I was finished with decorating the house, my attention went back to the bears and eventually I decided to start the business of selling them. I've sold them on bid4bears and Bear Artists Online and did my first show in April. I haven't tried E-bay yet but I'm thinking about it.
Yes, Shelli, that's the banner. My workspace isn't alway this clean. I had to really clean it up because we had a real estate agent over today to look the house over. We plan to put it on the market as soon as the front yard landscape is finished.
Shelli, don't worry, I think we all have those days. I often don't get out of my pj's until after noon. You know, you sit down at the computer and the next thing you know, it's lunch time. Whoops.
Anyhow, your work room is great and so organized. And, Lisa, I can't believe how efficient your little space is. It inspires me to make mine more efficient. And Aleta, you WILL post pictures when you're done with the re-do and painting of your space, right? Can't wait to see them.
Well, here's a little tour of my workspace:
I keep my fur rack just outside the door to my workspace. It would take up too much space inside.
Thanks Wendy. Do you or anyone else want some? I have a HUGE bag of it. I think it's way more than I could ever use for overlay. I'll mail out for free ! ! !
HI Jessi, and welcome. The alpaca fur I have is raw. I guess then, that I should card it? I can do that. Thanks for answering my question. If you have any more suggestions, I'm all ears.
Jodi, since we live in an area that doesn't get cell reception, we use Tracfone. I've had mine for about three years and it works out quite well.
You can get them at Walmart or Target for $50 or less, then you buy the minutes. You can do that online or at the store. Very easy to do. You don't lose minutes with Tracfone. You do lose minutes with other pre-pay phones.
What a sweet, sweet face this Christmas girlie bear has. I look forward to seeing her in print ! ! !
I was thinking the same thing Jennifer. 5/8's of an inch is really small for a 10 inch bear. He would have to have reeeeaaallllly skinny arms for that to work. Maybe the washer is 5/8's?
