yes things are good here Marilyn email when you can and yes i am coming to hugglets in september and i will come and find you, i hope to meet as many people as i can, i'm really looking forward to it.

as for fairs here in portugal they dont exsist we have a few craft fairs which i did well at but its such a tiny market and its uk, germany, us etc that i wont to reach out to.

its good to hear from collectors so thankyou peter and thomas.

i was hoping for some advice (again) i am still trying to get my name out there and sell from my web site, i was thinking of putting an ad in the teddie guide for the 2010 addition, what do you think?
also do i put in just a line for a few pounds or is it worth going the whole way and putting in a line, the gallery & a small square add. would be great to know anyones experience out there, to help me make decide.

hi Kristina i understand how you feel i have recused 4 dogs now here in portugal and i have to agree with Debbie. if the owners were really bad they wouldn't have even bothered looking for her, but maybe the your dog rescue people would be able to do a follow up visit if the go through the vet.
one of my rescue dog is like a grey hound and his weight goes between 21 and 23kg and he looks skin and bones but our vet thinks when he was dumped as a very young pup and was found nearly dead, his body has never really recovered, but he has loads of engery and when he finally stops he goes out big time for the count.... bless. so see if a follow up call can be done it will make you feel better. at least you found her before something bad really happen

hi guys

when ever i attach wire eyes i can never decide how to do this, i always end up doing it different.

do you attach when you have closed the head?
how do you put them in and tie them off..... difficult holding and pulling.
changing the angle of them where is the thread coming out? sometimes i do and have to re-do this as it has pulled the back of the head in.

great advise i certainly will do the dollars in my account thing as i do order quite a bit from the us and have to keep packages small so i'm not charged customs which is a real pain. thanks for ideas

hi guys i was just looking at your comment sophie about freeweb. is it good? i have problems putting bits on my site sometimes especially links, i end up have to put the site address next to banner. i have also tried to do my own banner but didn't succeed..... do you think freeweb wil be good site build for me.

hi jeanne how about thinking for something personal to you...... nickname, parents or grandparents etc. maybe divide them and re-arrange them.
just athought.
you can always add bears or teddys to this. ie MOLLYTWINKLETEDS

hi guys dont know if anyone can give me some advice.

i have sold to bears to the UK where i still have a registered bank account and people can pay into my account on the net or go to my bank and make a deposit, and i have a bank account here in portugal, but can anyone tell me how to receive a payment if someone from the I.e states/australia etc wants to buy one of my bears.

really stupid but i hadn't even thought of it before so if anyone can advise me or tell me the best way i would be grateful.

i didnt realise you lived in ditton near maidstone Marilyn, what a small world. i was born and grew up in rochester, kent and in my later years moved to the isle of sheppey, but my local shopping town was maidstone. i left the uk 6 years ago now and myself and my husband now live in the algarve portugal. i have been looking at your site and your bears are beautiful,have you been making bears for a long time?  i am a bit out of touch since leaving the uk and saw that you have copies of the teddy guide what sort of thing do they put in there, i cant get anything here at all, so i hate ordering things when i cant see them.

hi there i am in the same boat to. i am english and live in portugal and they are not into bears here, i did sell some bears at an english fair here in the summer and at christmas, but i have not sold anybears on the internet yet, i have 2 on etsy at the moment. did it take awhile for any of you long term bear makers to sell on your own sites etc?
i think when your new you are very critical of your work and to finally sell a bear gives you a real boost.
